Why would people care about what I like? I dunno, I just wanna see if anyone out there agrees (or disagrees) with me. So here goes...

FAVORITE...

1) website: Fanfiction.net
Recently, an email has been circulating that popular mangaka (artists of Japanese comics) are starting to crack down on fan work like doujinshi (fan comics) and fanfiction (fan... fiction) and prevent them from going public. It's all got to be a joke, I said, (since the note was circulated on April Fools Day) because mangaka would never say that fanfiction was a bad thing if it got people so interested in their work. But the U.S, Canada, England and Australia are different from Japan, where fan comics are sold for big profits... even the lewd, disgusting ones like the Sailormoon parody "Lunatic Party." I sincerely hope it's not true.

2) New Fox Show: The American Embassy
It's about a girl who was engaged and a guy cheated on her... so she gets away from the life in the U.S. and goes to work for the American Embassy in London, as the new vice consul. On the plane there, she meets a CIA spy who'll be working there, and ends up necking with him in the lavatory. ^//^ Her story, laid out something like Bridget Jones' Diary, with emails to her sister, Jules, back in the States, is splattered with humorous and entertaining characters (her neighbor is a cross-dressing band member named Gary) and realistic situations (someone bombs the embassy in the first episode). In the last one, there was this really great line, based off this phrase in London about the king dying, but always having someone to replace him... like the cycle of life and all that? Well, she was searching for REAL romance (her ex-fiancee came back-- married; her CIA date stood her up b/c he had to find the terrorists; the guy that invited her to a royal home turned out he was "busy" trying to marry a cynical woman who was rich... he needed to in order to keep the money and the home in the family; the embassy received letters to a Whitney Laine that no one ever opened-- and when she did, they were romantic. Sadly, the woman Elaine Whitney had died two years ago, and suggested to her lover, Garreth, to keep their love alive by still sending the letters. Garreth was pretty pissed that Emma (our heroine) had read the letters, and it seemed he'd given up all hope on finding true love after Elaine ever again too...) Anyway, it's a good show.

3) New ABC Show: ALIAS! It's a spy drama interspersed with romance, so it's perfect! If I go into details, it'll bore you, but it's just... great! It really is. Their last episode was a real kicker, too.

4) Fantasy/Romance: Charmed! Buffy's lost its appeal lately, and while it is my favorite UPN show (YES, even above Enterprise, my third favorite UPN) I seem to like Charm's entanglements into the hidden world of Wicca... even if it is a bit... Hollywood-ized.

5) WB Show: Hmm... Angel (kinda-sorta), Charmed (sorta, see above), or Felicity (eh.) I like them all, but Angel comes out on top because of it's new plot twists and enticing villains. Still, I disagree strongly on making Cordelia the new love interest of our vamp. No, no, they don't go! Hear me cheer-- BUFFY!

6) Author: Banana Yoshimoto, author of Lizard, Amrita, and my favorite, Asleep. Her stories are translated from the Japanese. I also like Kara Dalkey, Amy Tan, and a few others.

7) Recent Movie: The Rookie, but that's got to be one of the only I've seen. Ice Age was endearing and cute, but I want to see The Time Machine, Panic Room, Death to Smoochy, Clockstoppers, A Beautiful Mind, Showtime, and maybe We Were Soldiers.

8) Drink: Wild Cherry Anything, but especially the Dr. Brown Cherry Soda, Safeway's Black Cherry Soda, and Wild Cherry Pepsi.

That's all I can think of for now... people, try these things, they're good/cool!
