Rules: Each player of this game starts off with 10 weird things/habits/little known facts about yourself. People who get tagged need to write a blog of their own 10 weird habits/things/little known facts as well as state this rule clearly. At the end you need to choose some people to be tagged and list their names. No tagbacks.

1. When I was younger, my worst habit was brushing a lock of hair against my cheek or lips repeatedly.

2. I hate cleaning my own room/house, but when it comes to places that are undeniably others, I can usually clean with gusto. I did this once at my Aunt Kara's house back when she lived on Long Island; I wanted to avoid her menstrual pitbulls, so I cleaned out her entire basement. I got some free clothes out of the deal, so it was pretty nice.

3. Practically my whole family treats me as tech support, which is becoming one of my more recent irritants. I'm seriously going to start charging every time they call me and start out with "So I'm having trouble with my computer..." instead of "Hi Meredith, how are you?"

4. Like [livejournal.com profile] guardian_kysra, I put things in "sensible places" for future recovery, but I promptly forget where those sensible places are when I need them. Thus, I tend to find things when I'm not looking for things, and stress out a lot over finding/needing things when I can't find them.

5. Sometimes I honestly think my parents are more immature than I am. I'm concerned for my future "big days," such as a graduation or wedding when I'd want them to both be there, and the possibility of the both of them getting into a fight is stronger than I'd like. I'm torn between wanting to help, not caring anymore, or something insane.

6. As [livejournal.com profile] cutieme4u knows, I'm not a big fan of "cute," but I admit-- sometimes I do wear pink (rose, preferably), and Cute Overload does, at times, make me *squee!* But I don't really like being called "cute," in the Hello Kitty context. Cute as in pretty, sexy, attractive, sure. But cute like furballs? No.

7. I have a notoriously bad sleep schedule, even without jet lag. Some nights I can go to bed very early in the afternoon or evening, while other nights I can be up past 3am or 5am without even realizing it. The other day, I did my best to wake up at a "reasonable hour" (10am), but by 2pm I was conked out. I ended up sleeping well over 14 hours off and on, and missing 2 meals, too. And today, even though my sleeping last night was relatively normal, I woke up really early this morning (I think 3am, but it may have been 5am) and haven't been tired enough to go back to sleep. The time seems to fly, though I don't necessarily feel as if I've done a whole lot and been productive.

8. I've had every natural color of hair. I've been blonde, brunette, and redhead. I've had black hair. I've had highlights, streaks, temp color, perm color, a perm. I've hacked off my hair because of heartbreak, and I've grown it back out of spite. I'm frankly sick of messing with my hair.

9. I say things like "I'm turning into my mother" with increasing frequency. I'm starting to develop a purse obsession. THAT IS BAD.

10. I know some people don't "believe" in writer's block or a muse, but I honestly feel them-- for me, a writer's block is literally an idea trapped behind a brick wall in my brain, locked away from my access or comprehension. And the muse is the mode of delivering, of taking those random ideas and thoughts and stringing them together. I tend to plan stories a lot when I'm walking or in some mode of transportation, and I tend to talk myself through them-- aloud. I guess some people might think I'm crazy.

You Should Maybe Go to Grad School

Grad school may be the right choice for you, but you need to investigate further.
So put those studying skill to use, and pick a program that's perfect for you.
And make sure you're going for the right reasons - not just to avoid getting a job.

Ugh, I have a headache and SHOULD go back to sleep (even though it's already 8:30am), but I'm not really "tired," per se. And I still haven't found the combo page to my Master lock... I don't really want to buy a new one, even if they are cheap. What the heck did I write the combo on? And where's the original slip that came with the lock? I swore I had it somewhere near my desk...

Oh well, at least I emptied the boxes mom sent me (more art supplies and books... yay, room is a TOTAL mess), and I fixed up all the Chapter Notes for WDKY on Dragonfayth (all you people posting delish Seto x Anzu here on LJ, come on, share the wealth! Put it up on Dragonfayth so it can be easily found and favorited! That includes all the smut!) I'll re-read the whole fic soon and maybe make some progress with 25 before school starts on Monday. And today-- must go do some shopping, even if it's just shoes and a few books.
