well, i was looking around for nana update info and came up here. to get rid of the gutters (the shadows) you simply use the quick mask mode (use the brush tool, hit 'q' and then it should make it red. hit 'q' again when the shadow is selected, hit 'ctrl-shift-i' and then adjust the levels that way.) then after that, you can level the rest of the page. ^.^ hope that helps in the future.
