I feel like I've been neglecting my LJ lately. But here I am, just trying to catch up on stuff... Oh yeah, like the bonfire. On a scale of 1-10, I'd give it a 7 or an 8. You know, it wasn't as publicized as I would have liked it to be... people showed up at the beach after 10pm (and some even showed up at 1am!!) thinking we'd still be there. I told people that if they wanted in on the BBQ, show up around 4:30, 5:00. If they just wanted in on the bonfire, 7:00 or 8:00, when sunset was supposed to start. eva and the BBQ stuck around until 8:30ish, and everyone was happy and well-fed...

Back in time though. When I got there around 3:45ish (and I thought that was insanely early-- even though the weather was nice and all, I didn't understand why Eva wanted to bore herself to tears staying on the beach for 8 hours) Damon, Eva's little brother, decided to bitch me out in his own stupid retarded way. He was attempting to pick a fight with me even though I wasn't in the mood for arguing with his apparent immaturity. Basically he was butting in where he had no business to; saying I should pay for the barbeque, considering all the stuff Eva's mom went out and bought. I talked to Eva about this; she said that her mom would buy everything provided Eva came home before 9pm on that Saturday-- they'd bought all the food by the time Eva told me, so it wasn't as if I went shopping with them or had any say in it whatsoever. Yet the brat still decided to bitch me out, insisting that I look at the "reality" of the situation (all the food) and pay for it. After buying skewers and ice at the Safeway across the street, I had $1 to my name. And he was still complaining. I told him he could have my dollar, and that if he showed me the receipt from Costco, I'd pay for what I could, since YES, I felt bad that Eva's mom had gone to all that trouble... but Eva just wanted us to stop arguing, Damon to shut up, and her cousins to stop throwing sand in the chips. Finally Damon left... hallelujiah. I wish Eva'd stand up to him more. He's so annoying!

I ended up leaving again and going home to get more money from mom-- a mere $20, which she thankfully didn't take out of my paycheck from before. I'm down to $120, and I'd like to have at least that much for Fanime, especially considering I still haven't bought the appropriate leg warmers, the Converse sneakers I want, the Otakuworld subscription, or the fabric and ribbon for my cape. *sigh* Money money money. People still OWE me money, I still have money that needs to be put into a bank account, and I need a job so I can make my OWN money, for once!

So anyway, back to the bonfire-que. So sunset came around 8:00ish, as predicted, and it got pretty cold, pretty fast. We didn't have the log for the bonfire yet, so I had to go to Safeway to get the damned thing-- again, with my money, and those things are HEAVY and don't come cheap... we ended up roasting marshmallows over the barbeque. And thank god for Harry, by the way, because he made some KILLER burgers. DELISH! ^-^

Long story short, Bryan, Vince, Jimbo, and Cheuk came later on... we finally got a mini-bonfire going, but it never got very biog because of the wind. And they wasted all of Eva's lighter fluid, and my stereo that I'd lugged from home got all sandy (I had to vacuum the sand out). Fun. We went to Safeway yet again and got snacks-- tons of goldfish crackers, teddy grahams... etc. And it's all mine now, so I'm a happy camper. I let Vince keep the sodas. I had so many bags to begin with, and hardly anyone wanted to help me carry anything without being forced! Such gentlemen... hmph. We headed to Jimbo's after it got too cold to stand anymore, and we watched the Hypercube. Scary and confusing movie. Amber came over, since she'd gone all the way to the beach and didn't find me there... >_> her hair is such a nice flaming red now. I wish I could be that bold with my hair.

Anywho, people are waiting for me... gotta go to CCSF and drop off my forms with Kripa and Steph. I just hope Joe isn't mad about giving people rides... eeekkk...
