I am Inspiron!
Sep. 9th, 2005 03:12 pmOkay, so YAY I got my laptop. It came in two huge boxes filled with peanuts. Not the nut, the styrofoam things. And one box was just my super-thin blue cover that snaps on. The other one was at least filled with protective blocks and boxes for my adapter and software.
I got all the updates from Windows, Symantec (buh-bye, McAfee!), and whatever else, and then I upgraded to Windows XP Pro. But for some weird reason, it takes a while for the wireless network from my 2Wire router (the in-home network) to read, so sometimes it doesn't show me as connected, when I really am. On top of that, I haven't successfully been able to shut down my computer (that is, Start/Shut Down/Shut Down) and walk away; I always have to press the button. o_O
I couldn't get Office 2003 yet; that's for when the bookstore gets it in stock. I also bought Studio 8 at the student price, so that should come in a few days. :)
I had 3 blintzes this morning, and despite me loving them to pieces (hey, there's protein in the soy cheese!) I think my tummy is protesting now.
On a final note: Work: blah. I want out. phpBB for Betasquad: YAY! Maybe I should let the members vote on a style for the forum, if we have one?
...Eek, gotta go.
