Okay, so I think I can run off 512 MB and 40 GB HD... I'd want a DVD+/-RW, just in case. But I found this deal where the comp can come pre-installed with Home, and I can get Office 2003 Professional and Windows XP Pro bundled for about $289-- a very good deal considering they sell Office 2003 Pro for a dollar less than that, WITHOUT the XP Upgrade to Pro. >_> So what's wrong with XP vs. 2K, anyway? I'm wary about using older stuff, and I have major compatibility issues... is it a matter of stability or something? I haven't had too many problems with XP Home (here) or Pro (what I had in SF).

And I think this comp was slow with 512 MB of Ram because I had the 60 GB HD filled up practically to the brim. ^^;
