<3_<3 WOW!
Apr. 4th, 2003 11:31 amI originally started typing this in homeroom, but instead of getting stuck in there typing through 3rd period (like I almost did yesterday) I somehow closed the window! ;_; Doesn't matter, some things I've edited for the update since 3rd period!
Okay, for starters, last night rated a 6/10. Could have been better, if it weren't for my big mouth. ;_; I'm going to have to carry a bracelet of masking tape around so I (or others) can just tape my mouth shut when I'm about to say something stupid. It happens too often. ;_; GOMEN! It all ended well anyway, I suppose, and if I don't dwell on it, I'll feel better. It's apparent I've learned my lesson, it's just a matter of using what I've learned in the future.
Yesterday as I was heading home from school, I saw a red car (whose make I didn't catch, it was going quite fast) pealing around the corner on 33rd Ave. The only thing I saw was the license plate: REDSUNZ. o_O I was so freaked out at first, thinking maybe someone took Initial D a *little* too bit seriously... BUT! I just found out in 3rd period that Jonathan Pang knows who the car owner is-- Vincent Tom, in my homeroom! They're part of a racing crew called the Red Suns! *dr00lage* SUGOI! Jonathan's in the team too, and he was telling me about all the different cars-- and you know that white Toyota MR2 over by my house? Turns out it belongs to a rival team, the Assassinators (not Assassinato, I guess the R fell off)! They go up to the mountains north of Marin and race at the wee hours of the morning... And J.Pa said he'd send me a video! *_* I can't wait!! It's so great to talk to someone I know pretty well about cars and Initial D and the like. ^^ It feels kinda strange, I suppose, but hey, there ARE girls into this kinda thing...
Blah, we have to get minimum $60 ads PER PERSON in order to get this issue of the paper out-- and we have to get it out. *sigh* I wish we'd done fundraising or club sales or something. I know Mayfest might save us at the last minute, but for the most part, we're relying on advertising revenue. I have the possibilities of RTA and Nicole's, but I'm pretty gutless when it comes to asking business owners and such to help a school --even one as city-recognized as THE EAGLE (which is totally true, and makes me super-happy).
Oh, for the final issue's senior spread, we wanted to do something interesting with all the seniors' names. We've already done things like Valedictorian/Class Officer quotes, arranged it in the shape of the year, and done the Golden Gate Bridge (and THAT was HARD!!). So I looked into finding out what the theme for this year's yearbook is-- "Carpe Diem: Seize the Day." Uhm, it's nice, and better than some of the other ones clases have had... (cheesy ones include "The eXperience Files" and "Moment In Time") but I also got to look at the cover. Very photoshoppy. A speed-motion background with a fading graph over it, and it's got pictures of the class of 2003 sparsely sprinkled over it-- like of us at the rally. People wearing scarlet, since that's our color... but some of the pictures are kind of... EH. o_o Oh well. I have to buy a huge pack of multi-colored gell pens before we get the yearbooks!
Gah, I'm being ditched by Eva, Corinna, and Colleen! Must go and get lunch!
