Killer Cocoa and Five Hours of Sleep
Apr. 2nd, 2003 02:04 pmI never should have brought cocoa to school yesterday. Damn Barnes and Noble thermos! I've had it for years, and started bringing it to keep myself awake in a 1st period. It worked for a while... until I stopped going to my 1st period last year. ^^;; But in any case, I always finished it-- not so yesterday, when I stupidly left it in my locker. In all my nervousness (over having to memorize Sonnet 64 in a single day and recite it to my 5th period) I knocked it over, getting it all over my CAPI math booklet, and the top part of my English book and other notebooks. *sigh* I'm such a clutz! Why didn't I think to put it in my locket net? >_< Worse, I got it all over my white blouse, and I didn't realize till 5th period, right before I had to recite! I cleaned up my locker and everything, but now I might have to pay for that booklet... or worse, not get my TI-85! AUGH!
On the topic of the Sonnet, I finished memorizing it during 1st period today, but I kept stuttering when I asked Corinna to test me on it during lunch. Sectionals got cancelled since hardly anyone showed up, which was good for me, I guess. Blah, I'd gone to all the trouble of leaving math class in such a rush, and I didn't even have enough money for lunch- they didn't have bagels, which is the only thing $1.20 can buy you. I'd bought my Cherry Coke earlier to stay awake in math class... so I was zooming through fixing up my take home assessment due earlier in the week. But I'm so picky I wanted to redo the homework, so I didn't turn that in. =P Feh. Now I'm hungry, grumpy, and dirty.
Five hours of sleep is never a good thing. I said it was a nap, but J.Po noticed when I walked into class. He'd been half-asleep and acting somewhat like a bumbling fool yesterday, and it was quite comical. I always saw J.Po as the studious type. Perfect for the military, which is why I guess he's still in ROTC.
Thank goddess the classes are only half an hour today, and the work Koski gave me was simple. I'm going home now, as the bell just rang, and taking a nap. No back-breaking books to bring home-- Pride and Prejudice questions, and the sonnet questions that I need to make up are in the Green book sitting somewhere on the Dining Room floor. I think. Besides, I'm going to FX tonight anyway. But I have to remember to record Angel! ;_; Buffy and Smallville were repeats yesterday, so hopefully Angel won't be, what with the bitchy pregnant evil Cordy, etc. etc.
Or I might snuggle up with my blankie (I'm so cute ^_^;) and read more of "Princess in Waiting." Or, should the mood strike, that Inuyasha fanfic I got started on yesterday... "Choosing a Partner," by Silver, which is a whopping 42 chapters long (last time I checked)! She updated EVERY DAY with a new chapter, but apparently it's because she had the whole thing written already and waited a day between posts to add notes or commentary about her 1619 reviewers. No, that is NOT a typo. I thought Ookami-nee-sama was amazing for raking in over 500 reviews, and I'm sure both Lazuli and other fic masters have gotten more... but 1619!? WOW! I'm lucky to even get 50 on a good day (Only 16 got 80). I really need to write more fics. I got a review asking for more "Perfect World," that Star Ocean fic... plus there's "Secrets," not to mention "Twisted Fate." I want to work more on my doujinfic, "Dream a Dream," but it's so hard adapting someone else's writing, especially in the introductory stages! ;_; That and I have all that WAFF vs. TAFF ficcing to do, webpages, sketching, room cleaning, party planning, Hebrew learning... WAUGH! I need another me!
Yeesh. In 4th period, some dumbshit in one of Diesel's other classes took it upon him (or her)self to rearrange the entire damned keyboard on one of the computers. It took over 15 minutes to get everything back in place. That is so lame. Poor Diesel's mom was sick and so he went to NY, so it's not really his fault that the subs didn't control the students (his other classes aren't supposed to use the computers). I dunno though, something tells me that when he said his mom was getting better, he was lying. It's not something I want (or care to) confront him about, especially since it's none of my business, but there was something in his smile (or not smile, as the case was) that threw me off. I'd like to do something, but... @_@; Gah. Tiredness must be affecting my thinking patterns.
7th period bell just rang. I'm leaving before I fall asleep and eat keyboard.
