Re: (1) I totally forgot about apparating. I know I'm going to have to re-read books 1-5; now I'm contemplating buying 1-4 for myself, instead of mooching them off my mom like last time and reading them in SF, post Book 6 coming out.
(2) Always seemed like a trivial fact to me, but you are right about how JKR keeps ramming it into people's heads-- maybe there's some strange significance to it? I can't imagine what, though.
(3) Snape surprised me in OotP, and I think he'll continue to do so. He's an eel- slippery, hiding in shadows, dangerous...
Wormtail's "silver hand" that gleams like "Moonlight" is news to me, though. Did this revelation come about in Book 4 or 5?
