People are stupid.

I will blame 95% of it on my period, but the rest lays on everyone else and their shitty-ass attitudes towards me today. I never should have taken Adam's shift today (from 4 to 9). 5 hours isn't all that much; I did get a 10 minute break, but I felt like shit throughout, and I had no Midol or anything on hand to help the ginormous cramps I had all friggin' day long. Worse, the music kept on skipping or was too damn loud, and no one wanted to change it. When they finally did change it, they changed it to non-Jamba CDs, which is a) against the rules and b) makes me uncomfortable, because it's stuff like rap and hip-hop that I don't like and find degrading.
I was tempted to walk out no less than 3 times today, if not because of one problem after another, then because of the bad attitudes of my co-workers, like lard-ass "S," who always thinks he's being funny when he's really being quite rude and hurtful. I'm sick of kowtowing to him and his "experience," and I just know if he gives me guff tomorrow I will snap at him. (I'm out of Midol anyway, how can that be prevented?)
On top of that, not only do I have more idiotic reviewers for my fics (honestly, I'd rather I get all coherent reviews --however few in number-- than a bunch of stupid one-liner "reviews" that make no sense), but now even MORE people "demanding" things of me. What the hell!? Since when do I write for YOU? Sorry, no. -_-
there's always continuation in roads no matter where you are and it doesn't differ in this story! This story has to have a sequel I refuse to believe that Seto would walk around in a circle for the rest of his days, it's just to sad(-.-)Your next song to continue this fic has to be 'collide' by howie day I want to see them crash into each other in the crossroads of life, so yeah you can see that I truly enjoyed your story so write on!
Yeah, that's all nice and flattering, but er, if you've got such a good idea for a continuation to this, why not take the simple idea of Anzu and Seto sharing a "moment" before she leaves and he's left behind (trust me, I'm not the first one to do it), why not write it yourself? Besides, "Collide" is overplayed in my head anyway; I don't like it (or Howie Day) too much. -_- If I do write a continuation to it, it will be on my time, my terms. I wish I could tell these shmucks that, because I don't appreciate reviews like this that come off as more demanding than flattering or critical (which is actually a good thing).
Next up on the drawing board-- the manhwa "Tarot Cafe" by Sang-Sun Park, the same artist who did "Les Bijoux." I absolutely ADORE the artwork, especially since the in between-chapter pictures are quite cool, and marked as such things as "Illustration from Tarot of the Wolves" or "Illustration from Halloween Tarot." Note these aren't real Tarot decks; they're just stylized Tarot cards still drawn by Park... the catch is, I can't find any sort of artbook or anything indicating where these pictures are compiled. Help? I have little to no experience with manhwa.
Speaking of Tarot, as
rhapsody_dragon requested of me, I do interpretations-- preferably for people that have already done their own or gotten their own readings, and wish to have a second opinion or further clarification. I also am planning a way for people to tell Tarot with Duel Monsters/Yu-Gi-Oh cards. ^_~
The first part of this is deciding which cards will be the Major Arcana (big secrets), the 26 "powerful" cards of any Tarot deck. I've decided to use Spell and Trap cards for this, but which specific ones, I don't know. I want to use pretty common ones, so if anyone's got any suggestions, please fire away.
For the Minor Arcana (little secrets), I figured this:
Cups/Chalices (emotions, love) - Water-Type monster
Pentacles/Discs/Stars (work, finance) - Earth-Type monster
Swords (intellect) - Wind-Type monster
Rods/Wands (ambition, creativity) - Fire-Type Monster
There will be no usage of Dark, Light or Divine/Heavenly-Beast Type Monsters. And these "Types" refer to the major Types, not the attributes given INSIDE the text box-- there are 20 attributes (including Rock for most Earth-types, Aqua for most Water-Types, Pyro for most Fire-Types, and Thunder for most Wind-Types... so it can get a bit too complicated for my tastes).
I didn't just pull those associations out of my ass, either-- those are the associations each Tarot "suit" (notice how they relate to the suits in a deck of cards? Cups = hearts, Pentacles = diamonds, Swords = spades, Rods = clubs) has with astrological signs and elements. The Tarot deck is also subdivided into the masculine and feminine; these are very evident in the Major Arcana, but only subtly in the Minor Arcana. If you're insistent on being accurate with that kind of thing, I can go more into it later.
Then for the numbering (Aces through Tens, as in a regular card deck) and the Court Cards (Page/Knave, Knight, Queen, and King, for each suit, totaling 16) I decided to base it on ATK value.
0-1199 ATK = Ace
1200-1299 = Two
1300-1399 = Three
1400-1499 = Four
1500-1599 = Five
1600-1699 = Six
1700-1799 = Seven
1800-1899 = Eight
1900-1999 = Nine
2000-2099 = Ten
2100-2299 = Page
2300-2499 = Knight
2500-2699 = Queen
2700-3000+ = King
You'll need FOUR of any Monster card (from each of the four Tarot-types: Fire, Earth, Wind, and Water) to complete this. It shouldn't be too hard to do, but you might have to make some substitutions in places (for example, you can use four Blue-Eyes White Dragons for the Kings, so long as you differentiate each one, perhaps by their illustration. One should be the King of Cups, the others are the King of Pentacles, the King of Swords, and the King of Rods. As far as I know, there are at least four varieties of illustrations for cards like the BEWD, so it IS possible to use the BEWD if you choose, even if it IS a Light-Type...
The thing with Tarot is, you have to be able to shuffle and "flip over" (reverse) cards so that they're upside down. This means the only way it'll work with Yu-Gi-Oh cards is if you use a slip cover with them so you can't see the back when you deal out. Remember, the Yu-Gi-Oh cards that are legit have a Yu-Gi-Oh! symbol and a Konami marker on the back. Cover these up by using a card cover.
I'll try to do this myself within the next couple of days and tell everyone what my "Duel Monsters" tarot deck is constructed of. You can also create your own Tarot deck based on Yu-Gi-Oh characters, for use in a virtual Tarot program like Wise Tarot! (For example, Mahaado is a good example of Major Arcana card #1: The Magician, while Isis makes a great High Priestess. What other characters can you associate with Tarot cards, and why?)
Why does that sound like something I'd do?
Well I don't like the slight Téa-bashing bit, but the fact that my signature card would be Miroku (how many other sex-deprived monks do you know?) makes me post this one and grin. Besides, why WOULDN'T a writer like me have the Millennium Pencil!?
HAHAHAHAHA...
