Urge to kill... rising
Jun. 7th, 2005 09:32 pmI am so pissed off right now, I don't even want to bring up the dilemma of crushes or weird guys hitting on me at Jamba Juice. I had my heart set on getting a Permanent Account today-- today, my big payday, my happy day, the day when finally things were going to look up! For one, I thought the sale didn't start until 9 PM *my* time-- that is, PST. Turns out it started at 9 PM last night! On top of that, for some STUPID reason, my account balance is stuck at $144.37, which is a little bit more than $5 shy of the $150 I need to get the account. It's not that I don't have the money-- my paycheck and my scholarship check (which I did NOT intend to deposit into my checking account, I just did it in the hopes that it would give me the few extra bucks I needed) more than cover the cost.
...Grr, anyway, I decided to pay by check. There's no way my order WON'T reach San Francisco by Thursday (when my Paid Account expires ... and if someone covered for my Paid Account, I could always transfer the time leftover --from when my account hits Permanent Status-- to my icon journal, community journal, or a Very Good Friend's journal *HINT HINT*). I'm crossing my fingers, though. This'll work, won't it?
Wait, wait. I've decided that, to be safe (from getting all my pics on my Scrapbook account) deleted, I'm going to buy 12 months of Paid Account time. Thus, if my check gets to SF by Thursday and clears by Friday or Saturday, then a few measly days off those 12 months are used-- and I will transfer the remaining time to someone deserving. This someone should, for all intents and purposes, know who they are-- yo, because they bought me my first permanent account, and they r0x0r my s0x0rz so much. But hey, if you already HAVE a Paid Account, just think of it as less time that you actually need to worry about paying for, ne?
By the way, does anyone know what happened to SAILORMUSIC.NET? It was working up until about 3 days ago... and the weird Parsed HTML file that tries to download when you go to the domain is the actual site-- just plain, graphic-less navigation, and non-working links. Maybe they're redoing their layout or something? I'm a bit lost here.
Ah, nostalgia! I'm re-reading "Sailor Moon Universal" (ack, Jendra spells it "Reenie" ... no! It's short for "Serena," So while Reni might be acceptable, it doesn't "sound" like "Ree-nee" to American ears reading it... Rini is the official spelling...) and checking out some old emails people have sent me. One Matt Taylors "The Millennium Hunters" is also on an open tab (though it hasn't been updated since 2003)
Time for In-N-Out and Russell Crowe! YAHOODLES!

Date: 2005-06-09 03:34 am (UTC)I'm hoping they're only changing layouts, because there's no reason why a simple text-based layout would ask to download itself-- it should just show up in your browser like any other layout-- but for some reason, it's parsed. @_o
I remember reading Sailor Moon Universal and Universal: B when I was MUUUUUCH younger (like n00b to Sailor Moon) and loving it thoroughly. Now I'm a bit grown up and bits and pieces make me cringe, but it's still a great read. It's probably one of the best "new senshi" fics out there, that's for DAMN sure!

Date: 2005-06-09 03:49 am (UTC)O_O That layout thing is really, really weird. I didn't get any download pop-up or anything, but maybe I should go look at their source code...
Ha ha, I tried to re-read the first fic that got me into fanfiction and I thought it was -amazing- when I was nine. Now... now it's terrible. -__-;

Date: 2005-06-09 01:27 pm (UTC)>_> Last week I was talking to Jen and asked her if she had seen Sin City yet and she said, "Yeah. With YOU." -_-; So uh... it happens a lot. Sorry! I do remember now-- there was a christmas list meme going and I wanted to give you something special! Ha ha, well, that'd be really cool! Thank you! XD I'm glad you thought of me even when I was completely forgetting things... >
