Hioga-chan - Okay, I'm addressing two reviews here, since you reviewed for Part 7A and 7B (though FFnet reads 7B as Part 8). I hope I'm doing a decent job building tension and such, though I know my pacing needs a LOT of work... it's my weak spot, I admit. *blushes* I think the full blown reactions might be a chapter or so off... okay, I admit it, NEXT chapter. ^_^ Is that a spoiler? *snicker* I do try to keep in mind that this *is* a Yu-Gi-Oh fic, and it wouldn't be such if I didn't have Yugi in there somewhere, would it? His is not a huge role, but it's certainly PIVOTAL! =D
As for Chieko, well... I never intended her to be a character that people would either root for or want to ax. She's rather "wooden" in that respect, having served her purpose as a temporary rival for Téa, and then having her act as a force for Téa to get up off her butt and do something about her feelings. Though she's not as forceful as Téa's OTHER friends might be... >_> I don't like OCs who get too involved in the story, becoming romantic interests or best friends of the existing characters. It turns the premise of a good fic into something resembling a Mary-Sue, and frankly, I'd rather puke before reading such a fic. -.-; So Chieko won't ever be a huge character.
Haha, and knowing your English/writing terms is a good thing! Admittedly, I never really liked my English classes (evil teachers, too much work, idiot classmates) but I do love writing and completely abusing all I've learned. ^_^ And you are totally right ("write"); Bakura's tarot reading was foreshadowing. Couldn't you figure it out by this chapter? ^_^; I hope so... I've also "foreshadowed" stuff that's quite far off... *snickers* Like in the SEQUEL! Oops, I let it out... *runs away*

I mentioned Téa's birthday would be changed from what it is in the series. In the series, I believe her birthday is August 18th.It might be August 8th...? In any case, when she mentioned she was ALMOST born 4 months premature (as in, she wasn't, but she came CLOSE to be) she would have been a Leo (aka her real birthday). However, for the sake of the story, I had to make her younger than Seto, and prolong her time before turning 18. So, she's a Sagittarius, born on December 8th. Clear everything up? Nope, I wasn't irritated by this at all; I was hoping someone would say something in case they were confused. ^_^
Choas Babe - Is it supposed to be 'Chaos?' Just curious... ^^;; At first, I was afraid your review was a flame... I've gotten a few before, so I'm sort of immunized to them, but that doesn't stop them from discouraging me. So thanks for not being a flamer, just a... really enthusiastic reviewer! I hope you've enjoyed these past 2 chapter updates! And I believe you read TJOY too; like I said earlier, it'll be worked on during the holidays, and those that visit my site might be lucky enough to happen upon it on my "random gift fic" page for YGO.
Haha, and as for Chieko, like I said before to Hioga-chan, Chieko is a wooden character. She only has a subtle, almost indirect effect on the story. Nothing she says or does will instigate immediate plot changes or character action. That would be giving her too big of a role, IMHO. So, no beating for her. ^^;; Sorry.

See, I had to split up the reviews I got for Part 6 (and before) into Parts 7A and 7B... so some people got their replies posted in 7A, others had to wait until 7B. o_O But yep, yours is there in 7A. Not only is she a good 3 years younger than Kaiba (as far as I know), but what everyone says about Kaiba and Serenity actually hooking up in the anime or manga is pure horseradish. Believe me, I know. It never happens. And the mysterious BEWD girl that Seto sees in his visions? Doesn't look like ANY currently-existing female character. And Isis, for those that root for her and Seto... well, she has her OWN past-life incarnation-- the only female member of the Pharaoh's inner circle, and the holder of the (duh) Millennium Torque (necklace)! She seems to have her own MO, at any rate, and doesn't seem to care for Seto much. So... *grins* I prefer this pairing.

Tea Fan - AWRIGHT, YOUSE BACK! *snaps out of her Joey-moment* Hehe, good to have you back. Okay, with Yugi/Yami... yeah, I gotta admit, I like to put them through the ringer. But the thing is, as much as Yugi seems to be crushing on Téa (or he was, initially, anyway), I think that his destiny with/as (note: I don't believe in yaoi couplings for YGO) Yami is far greater than that. Plus he doesn't seem to "need" Téa the way Seto does, IMHO. Don't get me wrong, I love to see the guy with Téa every so often, but... the whole split personality thing makes for some WEIRD-ARSE fics. And then trying to pair him with anyone else just seems... wrong. Like you said. As for Ryou competing with/for Téa... o_O Eh? For her, like he WANTS her, or with her, like Téa did with Chieko? I'm confuzled. But yeah, Bakura in leather... *dr00ls*
*smirk* By 7B, it looked like you figured out some of my secrets! Ssh! I don't plan on having Bakura crush on Téa or anything (methinks that would make life with HIS Yami a bit complicated) but he could definitely exist as a plot device (conflict, conflict, conflict!) And as for Mokuba's crush... *shrugs* It's something that I see happening in the dub, anyway. 4Kids admittedly changed Mokuba and Seto's personalities a bit drastically, making Mokuba a hell of a lot more polite than he really is... but I've seen scenes of him interacting with Anzu in the Japanese version, and he actually goes out of his way to be nice to her, and to force Seto to be, too! o_O Just wait, the conflict within "the family" will heighten soon enough (as if it hasn't already, bwahaha!). And yeah, you're right about my preferred side couples... but I really like Duke (for some inexplicable reason) so I'm going to do my best to integrate him in there, too.

Atlantis2 - Damn you readers, you're all related to Espa Roba! You especially! Stop seeing through my plot! X_X Kidding. Still more surprises on the way, OBVIOUSLY. Yeah, now that I look back on 7B, the songs were a bit repetitive (and believe you me, describing all their moves was a pain in the neck; I actually choreographed dances). But they served their purpose in drawing character attention, breaking away from scenes, and having emotion. Plus there's a huge plot thingy later on where *gets muffled* Yeah. ^_^ As for the time it took getting out, like I said, 7A and 7B were initially ONE chapter. ONE set of replies to the reviews... and over 375 KB! So I had to break it up, or I couldn't upload it. Technically, 7A had been written for a while (mid-November '03, at least) while 7B still needed a few scenes. I did a final revision and spell-check, and decided to post them within a few days of one another. Seeing you review just makes me giddy, and inspires me to work all the harder! I can't wait for the next chappie of your fic *giggles madly* so I hope you liked mine!

Tamereth - Eh, I'm sure this wasn't out as "soon" as you'd hoped. Truth is, these later chapters are quite difficult to get out. Originally, I was inspired for a few select scenes, and while I do have future chapters in mind, they've never been as well-developed as the earlier ones. Which is why I'm going to start making revisions. As for length, well... I guess that's both a good thing and a bad thing. I don't tell myself, "Write ten pages," I say, "Okay, write the scenes the way you imagined them." Getting all the dialogue and descriptions out is hard, so that translates to more scenes. That and these reviews take up a LOT of space.
deity of death1 - Well, the contest ended a while back, and if you've since caught up, I'm sure you know the correct answers. Miss Misao wasn't based on anyone from Kenshin though, she's based on a character from Miwa Ueda's "Peach Girl" manga. Anyway, I'm really glad you like WDKY-- I know the pains of trying to find a truly good fic! Matter of fact, I've started what I call "Project: Good Fic" (Fic project with a lame title, I know), where I use FFnet's filters and my preference for Seto/Téa fics to find the best fics amongst the "mess" here at FFnet. So far, out of 2000 hits, I have 9 fics (not including my favorites from Mamono and Atlantis). Yowza.
By the way, I'm a super-sucker for compliments -- they totally give me reason to keep writing. So suck up all you want, it'll just make me happier. I especially appreciate realizing that, while I do take a long time to update, I put a lot of effort into making sure the spelling and grammar are correct, facts are double-checked, and the story "flows." These are the kind of things *I* look for in good fiction, so it's only right that I try and write in the manner that I love reading. Realism is also a major point in here; one of the major reasons I started writing YGO fics was because I hated seeing so many Anzu/Téa-bashing fics. People stating they bash her like they're proud of it is so immature-- she's an incredible character, and just because people don't like her dub character, they use that as an excuse to butcher her! I too, relate to Téa; in this fic especially, I think I can relate to her feelings after the death of her parents. :P That's a very long, drawn-out story right there, and this reply is already getting pretty long...

tea/anzufan - Not sure if you're the same Tea Fan from up there *points up several paragraphs* but on the off-chance that you're NOT-- I'm flattered. I know that Seto/Téa probably seems horrendously implausible to lots of people, but you don't hear them complaining about Yugi and Yami getting together, do you? ^.~ What I'm trying to accomplish in WDKY is a sense of reality-- that YES, in the YGO-verse, THIS COULD HAPPEN... (if I suddenly took over Kazuki Takahashi's body and instilled YGO with a shoujo-vibe...) Hehe. As for finishing it, have no doubt, I will. In time. I expect the fic to be 20 chapters long, so it might be a while... I'm glad you love the fic so much, and that this latest chapter meets with your approval!

I do hope you've kept reading and will let me know how you've liked this latest chapter. Oh, *laughs* and what I love about most shoujo animes/mangas, and would LOVE to see incorporated more into YGO is the "Love Polygon" concept. Hence, WDKY. Hioga-chan - Okay, I'm addressing two reviews here, since you reviewed for Part 7A and 7B (though FFnet reads 7B as Part 8). I hope I'm doing a decent job building tension and such, though I know my pacing needs a LOT of work... it's my weak spot, I admit. *blushes* I think the full blown reactions might be a chapter or so off... okay, I admit it, NEXT chapter. ^_^ Is that a spoiler? *snicker* I do try to keep in mind that this *is* a Yu-Gi-Oh fic, and it wouldn't be such if I didn't have Yugi in there somewhere, would it? His is not a huge role, but it's certainly PIVOTAL! =D
As for Chieko, well... I never intended her to be a character that people would either root for or want to ax. She's rather "wooden" in that respect, having served her purpose as a temporary rival for Téa, and then having her act as a force for Téa to get up off her butt and do something about her feelings. Though she's not as forceful as Téa's OTHER friends might be... >_> I don't like OCs who get too involved in the story, becoming romantic interests or best friends of the existing characters. It turns the premise of a good fic into something resembling a Mary-Sue, and frankly, I'd rather puke before reading such a fic. -.-; So Chieko won't ever be a huge character.
Haha, and knowing your English/writing terms is a good thing! Admittedly, I never really liked my English classes (evil teachers, too much work, idiot classmates) but I do love writing and completely abusing all I've learned. ^_^ And you are totally right ("write"); Bakura's tarot reading was foreshadowing. Couldn't you figure it out by this chapter? ^_^; I hope so... I've also "foreshadowed" stuff that's quite far off... *snickers* Like in the SEQUEL! Oops, I let it out... *runs away*

And Isis, for those that root for her and Seto... well, she has her OWN past-life incarnation-- the only female member of the Pharaoh's inner circle, and the holder of the (duh) Millennium Torque (necklace)! She seems to have her own MO, at any rate, and doesn't seem to care for Seto much. So... *grins* I prefer this pairing.

But the thing is, as much as Yugi seems to be crushing on Téa (or he was, initially, anyway), I think that his destiny with/as (note: I don't believe in yaoi couplings for YGO) Yami is far greater than that. Plus he doesn't seem to "need" Téa the way Seto does, IMHO. Don't get me wrong, I love to see the guy with Téa every so often, but... the whole split personality thing makes for some WEIRD-ARSE fics. And then trying to pair him with anyone else just seems... wrong. Like you said. As for Ryou competing with/for Téa... o_O Eh? For her, like he WANTS her, or with her, like Téa did with Chieko? I'm confuzled. But yeah, Bakura in leather... *dr00ls*
*smirk* By 7B, it looked like you figured out some of my secrets! Ssh! I don't plan on having Bakura crush on Téa or anything (methinks that would make life with HIS Yami a bit complicated) but he could definitely exist as a plot device (conflict, conflict, conflict!) And as for Mokuba's crush... *shrugs* It's something that I see happening in the dub, anyway. 4Kids admittedly changed Mokuba and Seto's personalities a bit drastically, making Mokuba a hell of a lot more polite than he really is... but I've seen scenes of him interacting with Anzu in the Japanese version, and he actually goes out of his way to be nice to her, and to force Seto to be, too! o_O Just wait, the conflict within "the family" will heighten soon enough (as if it hasn't already, bwahaha!). And yeah, you're right about my preferred side couples... but I really like Duke (for some inexplicable reason) so I'm going to do my best to integrate him in there, too.

Atlantis2 - Damn you readers, you're all related to Espa Roba! You especially! Stop seeing through my plot! X_X Kidding. Still more surprises on the way, OBVIOUSLY. Yeah, now that I look back on 7B, the songs were a bit repetitive (and believe you me, describing all their moves was a pain in the neck; I actually choreographed dances). But they served their purpose in drawing character attention, breaking away from scenes, and having emotion. Plus there's a huge plot thingy later on where *gets muffled* Yeah. ^_^ As for the time it took getting out, like I said, 7A and 7B were initially ONE chapter. ONE set of replies to the reviews... and over 375 KB! So I had to break it up, or I couldn't upload it. Technically, 7A had been written for a while (mid-November '03, at least) while 7B still needed a few scenes. I did a final revision and spell-check, and decided to post them within a few days of one another. Seeing you review just makes me giddy, and inspires me to work all the harder! I can't wait for the next chappie of your fic *giggles madly* so I hope you liked mine!

Tamereth - Eh, I'm sure this wasn't out as "soon" as you'd hoped. Truth is, these later chapters are quite difficult to get out. Originally, I was inspired for a few select scenes, and while I do have future chapters in mind, they've never been as well-developed as the earlier ones. Which is why I'm going to start making revisions. As for length, well... I guess that's both a good thing and a bad thing. I don't tell myself, "Write ten pages," I say, "Okay, write the scenes the way you imagined them." Getting all the dialogue and descriptions out is hard, so that translates to more scenes. That and these reviews take up a LOT of space.
deity of death1 - Well, the contest ended a while back, and if you've since caught up, I'm sure you know the correct answers. Miss Misao wasn't based on anyone from Kenshin though, she's based on a character from Miwa Ueda's "Peach Girl" manga. Anyway, I'm really glad you like WDKY-- I know the pains of trying to find a truly good fic! Matter of fact, I've started what I call "Project: Good Fic" (Fic project with a lame title, I know), where I use FFnet's filters and my preference for Seto/Téa fics to find the best fics amongst the "mess" here at FFnet. So far, out of 2000 hits, I have 9 fics (not including my favorites from Mamono and Atlantis). Yowza.
By the way, I'm a super-sucker for compliments -- they totally give me reason to keep writing. So suck up all you want, it'll just make me happier. I especially appreciate realizing that, while I do take a long time to update, I put a lot of effort into making sure the spelling and grammar are correct, facts are double-checked, and the story "flows." These are the kind of things *I* look for in good fiction, so it's only right that I try and write in the manner that I love reading. Realism is also a major point in here; one of the major reasons I started writing YGO fics was because I hated seeing so many Anzu/Téa-bashing fics. People stating they bash her like they're proud of it is so immature-- she's an incredible character, and just because people don't like her dub character, they use that as an excuse to butcher her! I too, relate to Téa; in this fic especially, I think I can relate to her feelings after the death of her parents. :P That's a very long, drawn-out story right there, and this reply is already getting pretty long...

I know that Seto/Téa probably seems horrendously implausible to lots of people, but you don't hear them complaining about Yugi and Yami getting together, do you? ^.~ What I'm trying to accomplish in WDKY is a sense of reality-- that YES, in the YGO-verse, THIS COULD HAPPEN... (if I suddenly took over Kazuki Takahashi's body and instilled YGO with a shoujo-vibe...) Hehe. As for finishing it, have no doubt, I will. In time. I expect the fic to be 20 chapters long, so it might be a while... I'm glad you love the fic so much, and that this latest chapter meets with your approval!
