So the way it works is that He Who Shall Not Be Named (and no, it's not Voldemort, sorry) is banned from this journal and any more anonymous posts he tries to make will be deleted. I just don't want to waste my time or brain power replying to him, and I froze the thread he was pestering me in. Whatever-- if that guy is supposed to be Helen's boyfriend, then he should be spending that time lavishing attention on her. It was uncalled of me to say that he's not the kind of friend Joe needs, but then why did the guy bring Joe into this in the first place? (Seriously Joe, I'd like an explanation. That's all.) I happen to think that anyone who criticizes so harshly and unnecessarily (you can always be polite before you resort to cruelty) is not the kind of friend anyone needs. It's one thing to have a friend that can be honest and forthright with you, but there's a difference between being frank and caring and calling someone an idiot.

To each their own, I suppose.

So Passover is over... there was no birthday celebration of any sort for me, but I guess I don't mind, because
a) my birthday is never that big of a deal-- dinner and a few gifts is the usual scenario
b) Jill and Kara threw me a birthday party that totally made up for it
c) Scott took me out to a delicious dinner
d) I have fabulous friends, online and off, and the fact that they thought of me totally brightened my day

I also scored a new jacket and some eyeshadow from Sally, some great inspiration from Shaina and Brooke (who says all gifts have to be tangible?) and well, that's it. I kind of have a new idea for a fic (tripleshot? I have to stop inventing new words for my short fics. But you have to admit "quadshot" sounds kind of cool) inspired by the "kyuuute" movie on ABC Family, "Everything You Want." That's the only clue I'm going to give you, though...

I'm keeping enough secrets as is, what with the whole Shaina and Brooke major inspiration thing. Plus there might be a potential summer job involved-- and another at Borders (I just sent in my application with Scott's help today). ^_^

Did you know that karribuhater59 makes Yu-Gi-Oh skins for Sims 2? I have all of them, I just can't figure out how to work it-- or the new Body Shop background I downloaded. X_X It's not fair, I followed all the instructions, did the installs... *le sigh*

By the way, I'm ever closer to starting my own rival 30 kisses community, one that updates frequently. But I'd want to get mods that can update when I can't, so in lieu of pestering every fic community I know, I'll settle for word of mouth (for now)-- are you or would anyone you know be interested in helping mod another 30 kisses community that follows essentially the same guidelines, but has a team of updating people, better sorted areas, etc. Let me know!

I've also discovered the secret to Scott's laidback-ness. It's his clothes. *sly grin* Okay, I'm wearing them now, so I'm comfy and giggly-- and the giggly bit actually came from when we went grocery shopping and the woman at the checkout called me "Ms. Murphy." She might have thought I was Scott's sister, but... well, it made me happy, and that's been keeping me going all night.

That's Tenjo Tenge not Samurai Champloo if that's what u were referring to. And about Mikey well I havnt paid that much attention to LJ until last night. Mikey is what he says, Helen's boyfriend and yeah he's a friend of mine. And that would be my explanation. Like I said I havnt checked up on LJ until the other night so I didnt kno anything about it till after the fact. If u want to kno more just IM me u kno where to reach me. Now back to school work >.>

Don't know what that 30 kisses thing is, but it sounds interesting. I'm up for some more hands-on learning experience with computers and the net, so I'm up for helping with that even though I don't know what it is exactly... maybe that's dangerous. Oh well. Go to http://www.livejournal.com/community/30_kisses and check out the User Info. In a nutshell, people choose a pairing from any fandom (TV, movie, anime, manga, etc.) and "reserve" it for an unspecified period of time (up to a month without posting anything, after that, it's up for grabs). There's a list of 30 "themes" that the submitted works (either fanfiction or fanart) have to follow. They can be 30 separate fics, or X number of fics with multiple instances of the themes.

Why kisses? Because each submission should include a kiss, whether metaphorical/figurative or physical. When someone's done writing all 30 (or decides they can't do it), the pairing goes to someone else.

The existing community has lots of people in it, but it's somewhat disorganized and doesn't update regularly enough for my tastes. It's not that I have anything against the mods, but there's no reason why they should have exclusivity over the 30 kisses set. Plus, I could easily come up with other sets (30 flowers? 30 words, 30 emotions, etc.) that people could do when they finish the 30 kisses one, or if they don't want to do the 30 kisses one but they want a similar challenge of pre-written themes.
