When am I going to learn? Never probably. I decided I wanted to look "pretty" today, so I put my contacts in, and by mid-afternoon, regretted it. My left eye is all swollen again, and gushing icky goop and... well, I'll spare you the details. I just need to see an optometrist or something and see what's up. The contact is fresh, not ripped as far as I could tell, and not in backwards or in the wrong eye. So WTF?! Damn eye... Grandpa helped me with antibiotic drops, but it still hurts, and I can't stop crying...
Work at the Sundial is frustrating at times, because they're all horribly unrealistic about how updating a website works. I have to look into CMS, or a Content Management System that will make updating easier. But there's two issues besides that-- one, they have their own dedicated server upstairs in Manzanita, and they're already having talks with some company that should help with content updating. I don't want to lose this job already!
But on the super bright side, I have a sweet, handsome, adoring, hard-working boyfriend who lives just a room away! ^_^ We usually don't do anything for our monthly anniversaries, though I was hinting at something nice for our 6 month (in March). But yesterday Scott totally surprised me by presenting me with a hand-drawn, very romantic card, a fresh pink daisy, and best of all, a lavender CSUN hoodie! ^_^ I wore it today, and I thought I looked great... despite my now uber-ugly pink eye.
Moving on, I finally got Yu-Gi-Oh online to work, though with no help from the shmucks over at the site. It finally downloaded all the patches and packs, and I dueled 3 times-- one time I won mysteriously (I think my opponent accidentally disconnected), one time I lost (just after I asked my opponent if s/he was losing on purpose, too! WTF!?) and one time I won, fair and square. I have a pretty nice starter deck too, packed with good cards and combos. But it seems as many of the Novice Duelists haven't touched Yu-Gi-Oh at all-- and I mean not the TCG, not the Power of Chaos games, not ANYTHING! I feel too smart for them sometimes, but eh, what can you do? Look me up sometime-- my username is thesweet. I'll try and get another one sometime soon, and maybe "I" can duel Kaiba... *hint hint*
Anyhow, despite my puffy eye, no Alias tonight, and my 3 Peach Girl anime downloads going rather slowly, I have reading for Sociology (chapter 1) and Philosophy (pages 9-12, exercises 1-20) to do. I'm watching the tail end of Wheel of Fortune Best Friends week, and then I'm going to get this done... and hopefully get some sleep. Maybe nibble on something, since lunch was less than delish (bologna!?) and dinner was 2 pieces of challah egg bread and scrambled eggs.
I still haven't caught up on everyone's LJs, unfortunately, but I have changed the style on my Pics Gallery! I wonder how I use smoove... I mean, the preview images? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?
