About 15 minutes till the New Year officially hits the West Coast of the Grand ol' US of A (and everywhere else up the coast to Canada too, I'm sure). We're the last ones to get it, outside of Hawaii, which is a mere hour behind us. And so the balls will drop, the fireworks will explode in fog, and... resolutions will be made.
I have two:
(1) Stick to my plan of going to Japan. Needless of whether I walk away with a bucket load of doujin, bootleg games, or whatnot, GO TO JAPAN. Then go back again (maybe not this year, but eventually) and know the language even more, and become more and more independent when traveling.
(2) Move entirely out of San Francisco. A "fight" with my Mom in the wee-hours of this morning has led me to make a tough decision that's been a long time coming. I really need to dispose of what's left of "me" here in S.F., and that means unused boxes of markers and art sets, stuffed animals sure to cheer some leukemia patient up at Children's Hospital of San Francisco up, and so on. I hope that by the time Scott gets here, I can have my room cleaned up some, and that eventually I'll get around to driving, pulling an "Eva" (waking up one morning and buying a Lancer!), and picking up what means the most to me for the drive back "home" to SoCal-- and wherever Scott is. ^_^
Oh, in other news, I've apparently gotten my first two strikes over at mediaminer.org-- I thought I scoured the rules for the Fanart section (finding my contribution to the area mediocre at best), but for 1) the rules page wouldn't open up, and that was even AFTER I disabled my pop-up blocker and 2) when I got to the page manually, I didn't see the rule about "no dolls," which eliminated by Something to Somebody: Soldier of Light and What Doesn't Kill You: Carry on Dancing works, both of which were based on a doll. Too bad too, because I got several comments on SoL, and I was wondering what they were. =P Time to do an original work and repost it! Bwahaha...
I'll eventually get around to doing Review Replies here, just because I'm so behind...
10 more minutes. Guess it's time to go watch goofy commercials and watch a big glitzy ball drop on packs of freezing cold pedestrians in Times Square. Hey, I was there not long ago! *grin*
