I'm going to Magic Mountain! Whoo-hoo! Well, tomorrow anyway. The sucky part is, since midterms are this and next week for Scott as well, he can't stay over tonight; he's got to get his stuff together for a photo shoot on Sunday, more studying to be had, rah rah... all I know is, we're both dead-set on having fun on Saturday, and that's what counts. Yes, I will be missing Yu-Gi-Oh for the second week in a row, but eventually it'll be on repeats or whatever, and I can get the episodes so I can laugh my fanny off.
The Journalism midterm wasn't that bad... I love multiple choice. Plus the editing option didn't seem entirely necessary-- on my end, more to flesh out answers rather than to change them altogether. Hopefully that won't bring down my grade any. I tried to study last night, but then, I didn't really get to sleep until after 11pm (stayed at school with Scott, saw a historical documentary on Natzches, Mississippi, went home, and then went to Hollywood). Worse, one of the friends/neighbors also in the acting academy got Derek (roommate of Scott's) to let him use his super-spiffy computer-- until 3:40 in the morning! X_X I was so exhausted and cramped on that sofa... don't get me wrong, I love cuddling with Scott, but I'm sure he'd agree that sleeping on a tiny sofa futon with metal bars and a noisy person typing away... not that conducive to sleep.
Right now I'm in the Collabatory, trying to waste another 20 or so minutes until Scott gets out of class so he can give me a ride home. Grandpa's at work until 2:30, and I couldn't get my final advisement appointment (for all my classes *besides* Journalism 110) until next Wednesday at 1pm. The Caribbean quiz in Geography wasn't so bad either, but Davidson didn't let us out early like I thought. We had to fill out a teacher survey and then start on Sub-Saharan Africa. I can't wait till the NEXT unit, North Africa, because of *EGYPT*!!
Speaking of things I can't wait for, where the hell is my damn financial aid check? If it's taken this long to send me the one for Fall, how long will it it take to send me the one I might get for Spring? Yeesh, they better not disenroll me because of this garbage, it's NOT MY FAULT!
Anyway, more emo!tional stuff. So yesterday Scott and I studied down in the Media Reserve for a while; I read "Girls at War" for Geography (a sad story, btw), and worked on my Geo notes. Scott was busy reading up on the Baroque period (note to all aspiring art history majors and/or public speakers: Bah-Row-Kh! Not Ba-Row-Kee!) and borrowed my highlighters. Since I was wearing a tanktop, sneaky devil that he is drew a yellow blob on my shoulder. I retaliated by drawing a neon pink heart on his elbow. He got revenge by... writing "I <3 You!!" on my left hand in blue. O_O It's still there, sort of faded...
I'm just kind of... eeeeeee... at this point. I meant to ask him whether he meant it or not (or what he meant BY it, rather), but it came out kinda wrong as I asked this morning. Once again, it's more along the lines of him caring very deeply for me, wanting me to be with him, etc. I know, saying "etc." is wrong, but 1) I have a sucky memory and 2) even if I did remember every romantic detail, I wouldn't say everything here anyway! There are still some TROLLS lurking about, after all... *glares* In any case, it was one of those "how do I respond?" situations. I told him he meant a lot to me as well, and he's the only person in my life I think about [like that], so... yeah. I mean, what do you say in those situations? It's like fanfiction waiting to happen, I tell you.
Speaking of fanfiction, I got Mamono's final edits for WDKY11! Everyone say Huzzah, because it will be UP TONIGHT! Yes, it's a week late (minus a day), but it will be up, and I'll get the anniversary page up, and, Ra willing (/fangirl Egyptian), I'll also be able to upload all the chapters to DF, the art to DR, and a new layout done for DR! Speaking of which though, I need an image of Mana (aka Black Magician Girl), preferably from the anime in a pose SIMILAR TO BLACK MAGICIAN GIRL or one of her other incarnations (Magician's Valkyria, etc.) Can anyone help a sister out?
Oh, and speaking of sisters (and brothers, and family, and eeek!) it looks like I'm going to actually be meeting Scott's family. Like, ALL OF THEM. We're going to San Diego this Halloween weekend. O_O Damn, I really have to get into high-gear with my costume. Good thing Baba went to Wal-Mart and spotted some perfect fabric for me. Now, to sew! Oh, and papier mache, spray paint, etc... I also have to get wings. Yes, wings are a must. My fall-back if no one recognizes me as an Emmy Award is to be a glittery, gold angel. (All I'd need is a plastic harp and I could be a Barbie!)
Anyway, re: the San Diego thing, it sort of came up suddenly... Scott mentioned it because a) he knows I love Halloween; b) his Mom loves Halloween; c) he needs to go back down there anyway, and d) partay? I'm looking forward to it, but I'm also kinda scared... O_O Plus, a few weeks later, the weekend of his birthday/my Day of Destiny, we're going down there. I'm glad he wants to take me, because I really don't want to be alone on That Day, lest I somehow turn my fears into a self-fulfilling prophecy.
(Think of all the fanfiction I'd leave undone!)
Lastly but not leastly:
- Did well on the Speech on Japan- We got like an A or so, with several categories scoring 4 and 5 out of 5, a few 4.5s and 3.5s, and I think only one solid 3. ^_^ Yay! Plus people copied off us, what with the bringing in of snacks and such.
- Anime Club tonight will only last a) as long as the officer's meeting, or b) as long as Samurai Champloo/Whatever I bring that they wanna show. Scott won't be there (;_;) so I have no ride home, unless I call Grandpa. Which I'd feel bad about, so it'd be easier just to go home after the meeting and maybe download Samurai Champloo from Anime Suki or wherever?
- I hate anonymous trolls. If you're going to rag on me for my personal beliefs, actions, and so on, then you better damn well sign your friggin' name and email, or you haven't the guts of a hornless rhinocerous. Besides, why would random ass people want to read my journal, anyway?!
I'm so tired...

Date: 2004-10-15 07:43 pm (UTC)Both guys I've been even remotely serious with did the same thing - i remember larry spelling out "i love you" on my arm and then getting flustered when i pretended i didn't know what it said.
my suggestion? wait until he says it out-right, especially since you are not sure whether or not he means it. chances are he does mean it, but his fragile male ego is too afraid of being rebuffed, so he hides it with half-jokey attempts at expression. once he is more sure of himself, he'll open up and most likely, you'll be more sure of yourself too. the fact that he's made more than one "remark" about the L-word means he's probably testing the waters right about now....

Date: 2004-10-17 08:52 pm (UTC)I'm well aware the whole world doesn't agree with me, but when people just post on my journal to start arguments with me, it's kinda... o_O
