They're not pickles, they're cucumbers
Oct. 8th, 2004 01:08 pmThis is one weird sandwich. Today is one weird day.
I had a nightmare last night that was weird... one of those things you don't like waking up from, just because you tend to remember the worst parts. Something about my mom being murdered and me finding her leg (and just her leg) in a shower stall. *shudder* Great, huh?
Plus, this person called "Evil Queen" keeps reviewing my stuff at MediaMiner. I appreciate the X out of 10 ratings, but she doesn't bother to elaborate on why. Most of her reviews are total one liners-- "still luvin' it" and "weeeeird" come to mind. Gee, thanks? I hate useless reviews. I'm not a review whore. I like the big numbers, but maybe out of all 400 or so I've gotten for WDKY, about 10 of them are helpful or useful. (And most of those 10 are probably from my betas.)
Anyway, so come 2pm I'm heading back to school for a scant 3 hours to work on the Speech presentation Amy, Michelle, Renata and I are going to make on Japan. >_< Michelle volunteered for us to go on Monday, so we HAVE to be done with everything by 5pm this afternoon when the library closes. FanTAStic! That gives me one hour to get everything together, pack my bag for staying at Scott's tonight (PARTAY!) and put my contacts in. Yes, I'm going to wear my contacts.
I've been feeling better (than the flu-like, sick, "I hate being female" state I was in yesterday), but after I got home, the stomach pains/cramps kicked in. They're not so bad, and I just popped a Midol, so hopefully I'll be good for the rest of the weekend. I'm not complaining-- really, I'm not. I'm just glad to be myself again. Sort of. You know what I mean.
Anyone got back to me with WDKY? Seriously, my muse is throwing a temper tantrum. She wants it to be done by tomorrow, but she refuses to give me any ideas. And the way I've got it just now produces this reaction from me: =_= Eeeeh... So I really don't want to post it as-is, even with those filled-in parts (when I sent it to my betas, I left a few scenes out, since I don't know what to do with them). I don't want to rush anyone, but... TOMORROW!! *squeak*
I got a lousy score on my math test, if I didn't say that already. I did better than a few other people, but still pretty miserably. But I did well (2nd in the class, I think) for my Geography Midterm from yesterday-- 80%. The highest was 84%, so I think that's pretty darn spiffy. The Journalism and Speech midterms are coming up within the next two weeks, so I've got some reviewing to do for that, but for the most part I think I'm set. I have some CAD drawings to catch up on and some strange compound interest problems in math to take care of, along with the stock and home morgtage project (oh joy. This newest project sounds like a pain in the ass), and that's it...?
;_; My Yu-Gi-Oh Movie OST CD is all scratched up, and skips in both my computer and portable CD player. I tried to copy as many of the files as I could to my comp, but... *wails* I might have to buy another one! Ah, le sigh. Speaking of CDs, I have to buy Utada's Debut American Album "Exodus." MUST BUY!!!! (Or you can get it for me as a present??)
