I'm in the Oviatt again, but this time there are no movie stars nearby... "Sky High" finished filming Friday night, and right now they're taking down the set. I didn't get a chance to meet or even see Bruce Campbell, but who knows- maybe if I know Hollywood well enough by the time the movie premieres next year, I can go to the Chinese theater or the Arclight dome there and meet the stars right on the red carpet? *grin*

This whole week is bound to be pretty crazy-- today the revised outline for Speech class was due, but five minutes before I had to turn it in, I noticed my page 2 was missing competely! So I came here to print it out again, now that class is over, but the printer card scanner is jammed! -_- I bet that the girl before me put her card in upside down or backward... Next came Geography, where we breezed through the remaining points Mr. Davidson had to make about Latin America; our midterm is on Wednesday, but it's a Scantron and I've been paying attention and taking great notes (IMHO-- I think they look pretty complete and neat to me) so I think I'll be okay. I still have to transfer my binder paper notes to my spiral, but I should get that done today later on. I seem to get more done in a library environment than at home anyway, so I might as well just stay on campus until I'm satisfied, and I can walk home. Grandpa has work at 3:30 or so, so if I miss that deadline, I can walk home (and RUN past the evil Death Dog Boxer).

Last class was Journalism... I did pretty well on my 5th reading quiz, and today was the 6th, about the Transcommunication Act of 1996. Our book might be kinda dated, but it's still quite packed with interesting information and resources! Ms. Henry, as usual, is kinda kooky, but she's not the kind of teacher that can really bore you. I've been tired in her class, but never able to fall asleep! ^^; Anyway, my 2nd Media Notebook entry (1-2) is due Wednesday, but since the copy is at home, I can:
a) do it at home, but miss having the LA times and USA Today copies I need
b) do it at the library, but type the whole thing out over again and have to pay for the printing

I'm leaning towards b, just because I actually have the time and enough change on my Copy Card to pay for it. That is, IF THE DAMN MACHINE EVER WORKS! -_- Grr...

Another Matathon meeting today-- and Mallory from Week 1 showed up! She was the sorority girl from Tri-Delt that showed me the Grand Salon, back when I was contemplating joining a sorority. I wonder if she remembers that? Anyway, her sorority is thinking about getting involved, and we also came up with a bunch of new ideas for pre-events and getting other people to register. At this point, we have two "award" systems-- one, for the single person that brings in the most donations, they'll get a trip to Vegas for 2! For the person that refers the most friends and gets them to sign up for Matathon (dance or committee), they get a chance to win different prizes, like tickets to concerts or theme parks!

Oh yeah, and this weekend? Well, in a nutshell, I spent Saturday night at Scott's, and Sunday we did a bit of running around (got a Hollywood tour; Scott actually used me as a model in some of his outdoor photography shots! *blush*) before he drove me home. I guess we're both going to be busy this week, and I knew it all along, and should expect times like these... still, I was a bit bummed that he couldn't even have lunch with me today, when he'd been saying earlier this weekend that we'd still see each other and have lunch... *sigh* Whatever.

Scott and I went to see Sky Captain! It was a fantastic movie, no matter what the critics say. Okay, so it was somewhat predictable and all, but this was one of those movies where, ironically enough, the plot comes second. It was the CHARACTERS I was watching the movie for, and the great CINEMATOGRAPHY! I loved the soft-filter effect they used throughout the whole movie; it really emphasized the whole 1939 (and yes, it is exactly 1939) feel throughout the movie.

And I'm not sure if it's based on a comic book or novel, but now I'm VERY VERY tempted to write fanfiction for SCatWoT. (How about we just call it SC?) It ended where I have ALL these great questions... and of course, I could spoil you, but how do I know if you've seen the movie? Besides, if I ever do go through with the fic plots, they're all mine, MINE, MINE! Mwahaah. Anyway. Back to your regularly scheduled entry.

Other random things:
1) Finish all my school stuff here-- printing the speech outline, Page 2 and delivering it to Ms. Sharky; working on my Media Notebook (must go to 4th Floor and get USA Today and LA Times), and transferring my Geo notes to my notebook.
2) Go home, work on WDKY11, and send it off to the Beta Squad (what a cool name!) for help. It's got to be up by the 1st Anniversary, this Saturday!
3) On the same note, work on my own special WDKY 1st Anniversary Presents-- a complete WDKY page, the Téa KiSS doll Beta version, and possibly some bizarre mini-comic.
4) Re-configure my diet. Damn Scott's been too much of an influence on me. If it wasn't enough that I haven't eaten fast food since "Super Size Me," and I've been eating (relatively) healthily what with living with my Grandparents, now I'm about reducing my transfat intake-- that means no more Partially Hydrogenated Soybean Oil. Hard to believe that all those years ago, my Dad's old girlfriend Melissa was actually RIGHT about something...
5) Revise the anime club poster. But I can't print it, or the potential "weekly" one until we get more black ink, so I have to address that issue with Grandpa.

@_o That seems like a lot, but I'm actually quite motivated. How odd.
