I thought I would get "High" in at least one area, but I guess not! Then again, I bet my dad would. Asmimov books posing a fire hazard-- darn tootin'!

Your Old Fashioned Name Is...

Grace Trenowyth

I got some narsty names at first. :P

Why does today seem... well, like yesterday-- SO SLOW? It's like no one's updating their LJs. I think that counter on the front page of LJ is a total misnomer. :P Then again, I should be thankful my FL isn't inclusive of all the LJs in existence. *sigh* Back to TIME magazine, I guess.

Why do they spell Hezbollah (as seen on MSNBC and CNN) "Hizballah?"

Steph, you've been my friend -feels like it's been almost forever. I know in reality it's only been since middle school, but those years were really the hardest time of my life so far. My sister had just died before I went into 6th grade; my previous best friend (Astrid) disowned me at the end of 5th grade, and the one person I wanted most to be there for me (Chris) suddenly wanted nothing to do with me. You saw past all my emo outbursts and idiot moods and became one of the truest friends I have ever had, and one of the best conversationalists.

You will never cease to surprise me with your wealth of experience and knowledge, because you hide it so well (not by acting stupid or naive, mind you-- you just don't brag. That's a very good thing).

I sincerely hope we stay friends until we're both old and fogey and surrounded by lots of cats (or harem boys something). :)

A challenge, eh? Well, it's certainly a challenge trying to remember everything from "the SMRFF days," which I admit, I'm pretty nostalgic for. But while I may have an Unreliable Brain, it's not so decrepit that I've forgotten... THIS:

(Sorry if I broke your FL anyone!)

"Spooferlicious" was one of the greatest co-fics that never was. If we ever do an SMRFF Revival Holiday, I want to finish that! Would you believe I not only have the first 2 chapters (in Word format), but the cracktastic IM session that spawned it all? The funny chat sessions and memorable holidays on SMRFF are what I miss the most, but as I've said to [livejournal.com profile] kitesareevil and [livejournal.com profile] dqbunny, it's nice to still be in contact with the SMRFFers, because we've sort of transcended the fandom and the mailing list, and we care about EACH other-- in some size, shape, or form. Sure, there's plenty of differences and tons of distance, but there's a reason why we all got along so well in the first place, and for that I'm glad.

I'm also glad I'm not the only kooky one from the SMRFF. Kookiness --even in these "older years" (*snicker*) is what brightens my days.
