I have to admit, in high school, you creeped me out (hey, I'm honest to a fault, right?). But when we somehow stumbled into each other again, you still retained the humor, but not so much of the creepy-- which is always good for a girl like me, who for some reason, "attracts the weird." I like how I can rant and rail to you and still have a calm voice on the other end of the line. I like how you can be sensible without condescending, and somehow you always surprise me with different things. I still haven't tried those candies you gave me when we met at the Metreon while I was in SF two weeks ago (wow, that went fast), but I will.

And I hope my Grandma hasn't eaten the Pocky I bought that always reminds me of you.

*bawls* I MISS YOU! No, really, I MISS YOU TONS!
You're probably one of the first "imouto-chans" I've adopted on the 'Net (and in this day and age, no one ever uses those terms --imouto-chan and onee-chan and the like-- seriously anymore; it's become a relic of dinosaurs like myself. I must come off as a total fangirl now...), and I completely adore how scarily similar we can be at times. I can be creative, insane (and creatively insane, or insanely creative!), or just myself around you, and I really appreciate that.

Sometimes I feel left out of the loop, but no one said you had to live your whole life in front of the computer, and I can totally understand the separation of "real life" from "online life." But like I said, I do miss you-- I miss your great ideas, your helpful hints (especially with Photoshop!), your yummy icons, and our fun and completely random chat sessions. I miss brainstorming with you, and I miss our cross-posting and reviewing of each others' fics-- and I admit, I'm still EAGERLY awaiting the next chapter of "In the Sands of Egypt." I know I'm not the only one, too.

And one of these days, I will totally make it a point to visit you. *stalk stalk stalk* (Kidding????)

I have to admit, I'm hard-pressed trying to remember just how we met, but intuition is telling me it was on a review of one our fics. It's funny how fics can bring people together, and you go from just being interested in/liking someone's story to being genuinely interested in the brain behind the story. Back when Azureshipping (Seto Kaiba x Anzu Mazaki) was a definite crack!shipping and only --what, maybe 5 of us?-- actually wrote for the pairing, it was always great to find someone that didn't say "You're INSANE!" or something like that, for liking them and actually going to the extent of writing for them.

What I find most fascinating about you is how we can have some things in common --we're into a lot of the same fandoms-- but we have totally different takes on them, as demonstrated by the sort of fics we both produce. And even though I've been steadily active in YGO since 2003, I still love reading your take on Inuyasha's Rin and Sesshomaru (and I'm beyond thrilled that you were the first person to officially finish the original theme set for [livejournal.com profile] 30kisses right when the community was debuting and I was afraid of a horrid backlash).

Plus I think we both have interests in travel, and I find myself eager to read/hear about all the fine details of France. ;)
