So much for one day off the computer. I felt pretty sickly and lazy yesterday, and disappointed too-- I don't think Scott's ever going to learn to think before he talks. So he's in San Diego this weekend, and I believe he's thinking about going NEXT weekend, too. No problem with that, because it's for his sister-in-law's birthday party. It also happens to be our 8th month together... not that I require some mooshy card or present or anything, but I'd at least like to BE with him. Am I not invited? *scratches head* Should I not even bother asking? My feelings are kind of hurt here...
So I've been playing Star Ocean: Till The End of Time in the meanwhile-- and I finally got to the part where I head to Suferio/Aquios. X_X It feels like I'm spending far too much time on this planet (Elicoor II). Where's my space opera, huh? Oops, wait-- that's Star Wars. *ahem* Anyway, while I must say I don't like the Item Creation in this game (even if it's more realistic), I do love the tear-jerking drama and hints at romance. The cutscenes add so much to the game! *wails* I was crying when Ameena was sick... (okay, sniffling. Let's not quibble here.)
Plus, the characterization is a bazillion times better-- in place of Leon, you've got Roger, who you'd just LOVE to hate. Cliff is like a wizened Claude (but then again, Fayt is Claude-ish too, being the main character), and Nel... Nel... (more dots) Nel's a lesbian. I'm sure of it. (Then again, if she weren't, I'd pair her with Albel Nox just to see the sparks fly.)
Anyway,
rhapsody_dragon sent me back WDKY16... which, she's right-- it needs a thorough butchering. ;_; Her and me are in the same boat as of late-- the inspiration for the Yu-Gi-Oh fandom just isn't coming! Icons and parody cards (on my end) are one thing, but... *frowns* I try to take constructive criticism with a smile on my face, but honestly sometimes it makes me want to scream into a pillow and then tear said pillow into shreds. ^^;; Sorry, Mamono. I know I need to write more and edit as well, but I just want to get the story done! Not for anyone else, but for me! But the longer I wait for inspiration, the less help or readers I'll have...! *cries*
On the bright side (sort of...) there is Inuyasha. And Dream a Dream. Did I mention I'm working on that doujinfic again? And I'm revising all the chapters as I go. I'm tempted to just switch it all into 1st person or 3rd person, but that would probably kill parts of the storyline. Any takers for looking at the old version (at FFnet) and letting me know what they prefer?
Tomorrow: job hunting at the mall (possibly), more inspiring activities (one would hope), and watching more Inuyasha (tonight: Disc 2!). *sigh*
