So I watched more of Sailor Moon (I cheated and skipped ahead to the J-equivalents of "Crystal Clear Destiny" and the following episode). It's surprising how I actually like the dub better than the original in that respect. I mean, seriously. "Princess Moon" is just not "My Only Love." It just AIN'T. So sad. I want to buy the dub DVD now. ^_^ Plus ADV did a cheap job-- even if they keep up with the new OP songs, they keep saying the ending song is "Heart Moving" when it's not. It's "Princess Moon," as far as I know.
Anyhow, I went to the anime club tonight-- I really like "Bleach!" But Ichigo does not look 15. o_O Why do they always make such handsome, kick-ass guys so young? He looks at least 17. I also like Kirin calling him "Ichi-nii." It's so cute! I wish I had an "Ichi-nii!" But the guys at the club were being jerks (meh, it's happened in anime clubs before...) so I ended up calling Scott and getting a ride home. Scott stayed at home for two good reasons:
a) to work on his photography portfolio for senior project
b) to watch over Baba, who's been sick and hurting lately, since Grandpa was at work
He then left to go to this party at the guys' in Burbank, and I just discovered 10 minutes ago when I checked my voice mail, he's STAYING there. *sniff* He said he's having fun and all (which is a surprise, considering he pretty much made it sound like going there was about as fun as heading to Hell), so I can't really complain, but I am a bit lonely... and feeling vaguely stupid for waiting up for him, even if I've been keeping busy.
I reinstalled McAfee Internet Suite, after another one of those bozo technicians (I got disconnected from the chat twice! Stupid computer!) said I had to, in order to remove these constant errors saying I can't download the update for Privacy Service, since I have a newer version! Argh! And now the error has come back... -_- I give up. I'm not going through all that again.
So in the meantime, I've finished (!) making two more Yu-Gi-Oh cards, but these aren't parodies (I need more ideas for funny ones!). These are part of the Circle of Seven collection. Guess who I did? (Go on, guess! My only hint is that it just may surprise you!) I'm not sure when I want to post the cards though-- probably when the whole set (of at least 11 cards) is done, since each card had quotes on it that sort of give away some of the juicy plot-ness that is CO7. And if I do that, it spoils the end of WDKY, so... ^_^ My lips are hereby zipped.
Right now, I'm reading Chapter 2 of Lilac Summers' "First Truths." Aaah, man this takes me back. Seriously, I remember when I first read this back at ASMR (back when it was just ASMR, and not MR.net with DBZ and countless other fandoms!) and I remember gushing about the descriptions... and wowza, I can actually remember lines before I read them! I feel like such a fangirl (which is weird, because I said earlier at the AC meeting that I wasn't-- not like the strangely-squealing others in the audience)!
Finally, a question: have you ever wondered what it would be like if you put Inuyasha and Fushigi Yuugi in a blender? Well, if so, the resulting concoction is this anime called "Harukanaru Toki no Naka de ~Hachiyoushou~" which, as far as I can tell, translates to "Distant becoming inside space-time ~leaf child~" which makes no sense, hence the reason why AnimeSuki left it as is... ^^; Oh, and by the way, Tomokazu Seki is in it! He plays one of the heroine's friends, and he looks like Kyo from Furuba (he did the voice for him, too), sounds like Ranma from Ranma 1/2, but has done the voices of these big-name characters: Touya Kinomoto (Cardcaptor Sakura), Hiromu Shimbo (Chobits), Sagara Sousuke (Full Metal Panic!) and Kouji and Chichiri (Fushigi Yuugi). (Wow, he's also Keisuke in Initial D, Ashton in Star Ocean: EX, and Van in Escaflowne!!)
*yawn* Anyway, later today calls for a new episode of Yu-Gi-Oh and hopefully some inspiration and motivation for SOMETHING... and then seeing Jill (yay!) and then homework! >_> Yay?
