Screwed: and not in the good way

What I initially thought was a minor problem has officially blown up in my face like a meringue with a time-delay grenade in it.

The pop-ups, along with several warnings of Trojans on my comp (all which 3 McAfee virus scans have been unable to detect; it's only after I'm done with the scan that it screams "A TROJAN HAS BEEN DETECTED!!") are all from or relating to this EliteToolbar thing... I thought I deleted the source folders, but you can never be sure-- the pop ups keep coming. So much for Service Pack 2's rock-solid firewall and capabilities, huh? This just goes to show: The Windows Firewall is FOR SHIT. Disable it, pay the $29 for an official one from McAfee or whatever.

Both Spybot S&D and AdAware (both with the newest defs) have failed to get rid of these annoying progs; after a search and a download, I've gotten the Giant AntiSpyware remover-- even though it's only on a trial basis, here's hoping it'll work. If not, I pray you guys can help me somehow by figuring out what's wrong with my comp! ;_; My emails have been disappearing, toolbars mysteriously uninstalling, and pop-ups annoying! I have Google Toolbar blocking most pops, AnalogX's POW! in lieu of that, and all 3 of my Virus/SpyWare combos working overtime. HELP!

Pissed thing 1 - No new Yu-Gi-Oh today! WTF!?!?!

Happy thing 1 - New fic ideas, inspired by absolute randomness. I hope to do a gift-teaser thing again this year, and release full chapters of fics (TJOY, ANYONE!??!) and a few evil snippets, possibly from Dragon Blood and maybe some other ones... Mwaha. I can always post a few details and let people decide.

I can't test out my new Memory Stick until I get the comp cleaned.

But I do have ideas for a S/A 20themes. And FFX/FFX-2, if anyone wants to jump on the bandwagon. Whee?
