Can't hold it in any longer

The Emmys, like the other award shows (with the exception of the Grammys, which I haven't watched in years, the Tonys, which I don't think are televised, and all those assorted station or magazine-specific ones I never hear about), can be so embarrassing at times, it makes me laugh. But damn, I wish I were one of the two people chosen to go up and announce the winner of the Best Reality Show. They pulled two people off the street, dressed them up and flew them to the theater, and they were blindfolded and muffled until they were on the stage. I was in SHOCK. I'm sure they were, too. :)

Oh, hi! Yeah, I've been kinda, er... "busy" the past couple of days, but can you blame me? The Grandparents don't come back until tomorrow afternoon...

On another TV related note, does anyone know why they changed the name of the spinoff of The Practice from "Fleet Street" to "Boston Legal?" Frankly, I like Fleet Street better, but... whatever. @_o And, it just occurs to me that there are a great deal of actors that are moving between the mediums-- that is, many of the nominees, winners, and hell, even audience members at the Emmys act in both movies and in television shows. Al Pacino just won. X_X His first Emmy nomination and win. I'm kind of surprised, but kind of not. @_o Hrm.

Things:
* Wanna go to Magic Mountain soon. All the talking about roller coasters Scott did has got me itching to go on some of those coasters.
* Have a lot of CAD work to catch up on, but the bright side is that Dad sent me AutoCAD 2005 and I successfully installed it earlier. I was trying to work on Drawing 4-3, but I can't seem to copy the first row of weaves that I made in order to duplicate it for the 6x6 square... but it just wouldn't work. -_- I have to call Dad tomorrow and ask him...
* Shrek 2 is playing at the USU this week, and there's also a craft night coming up. Plus, Scott and I didn't go to the anime club this past Friday, so I won't forgive myself unless I go this week.

Stuff:
* McAfee still doesn't work.
* Still haven't beaten the Cave of Trials (SO2), the Black Dragon Brigade (SO3), or Bevelle's Cloister of Trials (FFX-2).
* I'm going to blame DSF for this, but I'm starting to like those "weird" Anzu-shippings-- like Bakura x Anzu, or hell, Marik x Anzu. @_o Something must be seriously wrong with me to think like that.
* Working sort of on Prophecy Girl (9). >_< I'll get around to WDKY11... lord knows I've got the inspiration for it by now... HEHEHE...
* Shoot the Jaguar. They should SO not be using the Kill Bill music.
* Have converted Scott to Equilibrium fame... sort of. He kind of fell asleep while we were watching it, but he woke up for the good parts. @_o
* We kicked each other's butts at Bust-A-Move and Inuyasha... I showed him some SO2, and thanks to him, I won an additional pair of Bunny Shoes at the Fun City Races!!! :D
* We also finally saw Spiderman 2 and I, Robot at The Vine-- a really small, long theater that's pretty busted, but cheap nonetheless. Scott made up for me paying for his $7/double feature ticket by making me dinner last night-- some yummy chicken and guacamole burritos!
* AMV idea-- a Seto x Anzu x Yugi triangle to Vertical Horizon's "Everything You Want." It would so work. I can't wait till October... Halloween, plus the YGO Uncut DVDs come out!
* It's supposed to be 46 degrees tonight. WTF? Man, Scott had to pick tonight to go back to Hollywood... *sniff* I'm gonna be cold.
* Gotta see "The Last Shot" this weekend. So many cool movies... X_X
* Need to buy YGO6, xxxHolic 2, and Tsubasa 2. I bet HG6 is coming out soon, too. Damn, that and several books! I need MOOOOOONEEEEY...

I'm feeling just a bit crazy

It's not summer, but...

I'm going to Japan for my 20th birthday. I've made up my mind-- I'm going to try and get a job and do this. I want to go. It looks like it'll be about $900 roundtrip for 1 adult flying... but I haven't looked throughly, so I might be able to find something cheaper. If I can get Mom to hook me up with her friend at the Westin in Tokyo (there's lots of them, I'm just not sure which one it is), then it'd be a done deal. Couple hundred bucks for stuff...

Besides, the big 2-0. It seems like a ways off, but... I know it's not. And I want to go. I'd be considered an adult in Japan. I want to go. I really, really want to go.

Yep. Crazy, but I've made up my mind. Best birthday present ever... going to Japan. Maybe I should start a PayPal account and nice people can donate money instead of getting me birthday or Christmas/Chanukkah presents. I'd like that. I want to do this. I'm that crazy.
