Must go soon, class in 30 minutes. Traffic horrible... might have to walk from Prairie. Got some nice reviews, and some others that caught more badness (smash drunk). Will justify and characterize all that fun stuff later.

I survived the first day of college! Is not bad. Teachers weird, Geo class PACKED! Like Speech, but nervous about speech on Friday. >_< Always nervous in new situations. Want to RP already, and go shopping! But I'm working all this week from 1-9:30... exhaustion!!!

Must call Jill, and pray Mom gets me the bike. I need to learn to bike.

Taking a chance, breaking the rules

Bleeeeh, so I'm probably not supposed to be doing this, but considering I spend 12 hours a day on campus, when the hell am I going to have the chance to really update my journal --and no, I do not mean "update" in the sense of that wanky short one I did early this morning.

Classes today... Math was interesting. Met some interesting people, including my teacher. She has hair like those 80s moms in sitcoms, or something. Very puffy. Like, unnaturally so.

(Jamba Juice has the best music, btw. If it weren't for them, I'd go insane. Aqua's Barbie Girl now... ^_^)

After that, I walked past this Welcome Week fest of sorts (so many cool things to buy! Too bad I don't need any of it...) and towards the Engineering Addition... had to walk through this weird brick loop thing to get to my class in the lab. My CAD (and it's not Photoshop, Flash, and CAD... it's JUST CAD. All CAD all the time. My dad is ecstatic) teacher is Iranian or something, with a very, very thick accent. She also insists we need the book ASAP... which sucks, because Dad's direct shipping it from the publisher (being the CAD guru he is) and he hasn't gotten it yet. I hope I can swing by Oviatt tomorrow or something and pick it up.

I also had no luck getting Yi-Fu Tuan's "A View of Geography" online-- even at the Library website. I don't know how I'm going to read it before class, unless I show up to school ultra early (which is never any fun...)

Today, as soon as work started, it's been sucky. For one, Scott left pretty early on. Maybe his smiles are contagious or something, because I've never truly had a BAD day (like today) when he was here with me. But today... nope, I got lectured as soon as I came in. Apparently some invisible manager or some woman I don't even know was in the online room yesterday when I was sorting orders with everyone, and I was carrying on a conversation with Scott... she thought I wasn't working, so I got to sorting, writing out tags and the like, but today Ray says I really pissed her off by continuing to talk! I'm sorry, WTF!? One, I'm a temp. I know I'm going to get fired, I know I'm not going to make a lot of money, etc. etc. Two, why can't I make friends and carry on a conversation with someone-- as long as it doesn't distract me from my work Yeesh, bitch. Well, if I ever had a chance of coming back here, it probably just dissolved with her. Borders, here I come!

Today was just ridiculously stressful. I did get my journalism homework done... now just to type it out, sort my binder out, and figure out what to do with my multiple planners.

* One - Bad Girl Planner - Has more space, paid more money for it, looks cooler. Doesn't have dates pre-printed.

* Two - CSUN Planner - Less space, but more info re: the school and its services, but I got it for free. It's also got pre-printed dates.

Which to use!??!?

I hope Baba got all the things I need at WalMart today. I want to go home, massage my feet, and just kick back online or something. I have the innane urge to write "The Speed of You" (that Initial D/Yu-Gi-Oh crossover), or maybe Chapter 2 of "Something to Somebody."

Yeah. And get some art done? I need to chill. I wish they bought ice cream I liked. Darn wanky flavors.

Finally, off work. But I have to go to bed early (as in, a half hour from now) because Baba has a doctor's appointment tomorrow at 8, which means they'll be dropping me off at or near school around 7:30. -_- My classes don't begin till 9. I do have to swing by Oviatt and check out this reserved article about Geography, and I should probably see if they have Discovering AutoCAD 2004 (it'd be a miracle) so that I can make do without it until Thursday. I don't want to mooch off my more prepared classmates, but I was kind of relying on my Dad's connection to get it faster. Still no FinAid check, still no books. I pray for tomorrow... Everyone was wrong, I guess. Most of my teachers say we need the books by the second class session. Hell, we got an ASSIGNMENT in Speech on the first day, so I'm glad I got that book set already. But what about Journalism and Geography tomorrow? >_< I just hope I can survive...

Work is hell, if I didn't make it clear in my earlier entries. I can't wait till Friday and Saturday. If they try to schedule me, I will refuse. I've already worked so many hours this week; my total is 32, and the stress is getting to me, sad to say. I refuse to fall behind in my classes because of stupid bookstore work, that is completely unfeeling. You know, I work 8 hour shifts, but my break is NOT part of those 8 hours? So really, I'm there for 8 and a half hours, and on campus for 12, total. It's HELL.

In terms of reviews, I have noticed a few interesting ones, and some that I take to heart... you never know when you may influence the outcome of a WDKY chapter, folks!
* People like the Bakura/Téa/Ryou dynamic
* People really HATE Bakura coming in and stealing Seto's thunder
* Téa seemed OOC by getting drunk (btw, I was going to address this in 11. Trust me, most fangirls haven't been in Téa's situation, and wouldn't understand why getting drunk seems like a perfectly "logical" thing to do.)
* People are upset with Téa living in the side house (hehehe).
* Someone in particular wants Noah back. Er... can't happen. Maybe somehow in the sequel I could try and work him in, but unlikely.
* People noticed that despite Kaiba's angstiness, he didn't actually apologize. Yes, that was on purpose. :)
* Many fangirls find the need to write their reviews in script form, and include "yamis" and the characters. -_- I find this both sad and amusing.

IMPORTANT QUESTION - Do you think the rating of WDKY up to this point should be changed to R? I mean, gang brawls, drunkenness...? If you were on the MPAA, what would you rate WDKY?

According to the CARA website, PG13 rated movies follow the guideline below: Parents Strongly Cautioned. Some material may be inappropriate for children under 13. This signifies that the film rated may be inappropriate for pre-teens. Parents should be especially careful about letting their younger children attend. Rough or persistent violence is absent; sexually-oriented nudity is generally absent; some scenes of drug use may be seen; one use of the harsher sexually derived words may be heard.

Okay, so should I have to change the rating because there was persistent violence and about two "harsh sexually derived words?" Let me know. I don't want WDKY and its reviews to disappear from FFnet because of a rating reporter. I've changed it to R, for now. I know I have readers under 17, but I trust MOST of them, and their maturity levels... it's the nitpickers I worry about.
