Make your move
Jul. 30th, 2004 01:27 pmHappy Birthday Stephanie!
Well, early this morning I managed to finish the batchmembers.php file-- that is, listing all 130 some-odd members of BEA, so that when I move the fanlisting to another database, everyone will be included. The catch is, plenty of people chose to "hide" their emails, and now I have to go and find out what their emails are, and then set their preferences to "hide." There's really no point in doing that, though, since the site uses Javascript to protect the emails from bots that collect emails.
The problem is, I still don't have FTP access. Doesn't matter what program I use, I cannot establish a connection to my domain's FTP. It's seriously pissing me off, because I have no idea what's causing the problem, or what program/hardware is at fault. *sigh* I'm supposed to get my files on CD by tomorrow, and I don't want to be caught behind just because of some stupid handicap. Worse, Baba and Grandpa don't seem to understand that I don't have friends down here, I have no job, and no money. My options are limited to working on the computer (fics, webpages, etc.) or playing games on my PS2-- and those tend to frustrate me after a bit. Oh, but speaking of PS2 games, I put my preorder in for "Star Ocean: Till The End of Time" at GameStop yesterday. When the order comes in September, I should get a nifty poster, too! ^_^
On the bright side, the angsty-end of the Duel Arc in the duelmonster_rpg is coming to a close. I've decided I am going to adapt it for fanfiction, but of course, to keep some of the surprises intact, I may change some things... *grin* And who knows what "next season" will have in store for us? *smirk*
Baba and I worked on my room a bit today-- she keeps commenting that I have too many clothes. That might be true, especially in terms of t-shirts... I can start getting rid of some. But I <3 my tanktops and pants! And I'm starting to grow a certain fondness for skirts (somebody shoot me)... Anyway, she's letting me use the 3-drawer chest in Sally's room (the room I'm sleeping in until I get my own bed). But I'd rather just move the chest into my room and have the extra surface space to put stuff on. Turns out my Robin bookshelf from IKEA barely holds all my manga, let alone all the other books I brought. -_- I'm going to have to finagle some stuff around to make it work...
And, to make matters worse, Usa Week 2004's awards are officially in, but I don't have the CD with the other templates on them (least, I don't think I do...). Mamo Week was supposed to start on the 27th, but no one's posted anything, so I'll just kick it off tomorrow, and have it go from Aug. 1-Aug 7. Or maybe August 10th? *shrugs* You tell me. No one listens to the poor little holiday mod anymore...
I WANT MY FTP ACCESS, DAMMIT!
By the way, this song gives me ideas for the "next season" of DMRPG. But unless you know what I'm talking about *grin grin* then it won't make a shred of sense to you. Carry on.
