Roses blossoming...
May. 19th, 2004 09:12 amOkay, so I got a little mouse-happy this morning and decided to work on my layout for "The Rose Chronicles" fanfiction. See, when I get really INTO a story, I don't just write the planner for it, and several chapters... I do fanart, I design layouts, I come up with slogans-- it's crazy! I'm still working on the first chapter, but I have most of it plotted out already. So once I get the layout all done, I'll post it and the first chapter on my site... and shortly thereafter at FFnet and MMorg.
Here is a loverly little preview:
The links I have thus far are: The Story, Characters, Artwork - The Legends, The Reality, Resources. I couldn't come up with any more, so if anyone has ideas, I'd be glad to hear them!
Note: The black shadow under the text isn't that big in the full (800 x 600) layout. Also, the color of the paper-BG is a bit whitish-cream? I don't know how to describe it; it's what I plucked from the manual. And boy was that masthead a PAIN IN THE @$$ to get aligned and straight! ;_; I tried so many times...
Details: Sherwood font for the masthead and links. Verdana for the HTML text. Matching color for the links; I'll use a cascading style sheet. I plan on fading out the bottom banner and putting a disclaimer or something there. Also, I'll use JavaScript so that you can scroll through the page using the red and white roses near the right side of the page. :)
I also played some FFX-2 this morning-- and I didn't run into a single Mega-Tonberry! o_O I did encounter an all-new map though. Stupid randomizing cloisters. I got all the way to Cloister 60, but the Boss killed me. What I really detest about the bosses is that they look like monsters you've faced before, and thus, seem EASY. But they're not. At least I knew what I was expecting with the Black Elemental, so I *prepared.* But this new monster, a Conchertal or something, does something like 60,000 damage with ONE HIT from its tongue! And while I had Paine in Samurai mode using Sparkler, it did 9999 damage and activated Shell or Protect or something... >_< Anyway, the Boss has got a crapload of HP, so I'm trying to come up with a strategy to beat it. Anyone have any ideas?
Just the thought of Trema at Cloister 100 with 99,999 HP has got me worried.
Hmm. I should eat something, take a shower, and then writing. Or cleaning. Bah.
