Sometimes I want to choke the electricity out of my monitor

I swear, even as a paid member of FFnet, it's impossible to find decent fics (Yu-Gi-Oh) these days. Really, even my so-called enhanced search doesn't do DIDDLY when searching by pairing... i.e. Seto/Anzu. You still come up with loads of sickening yaoi and yuri, and tons of HORRIBLE fics. I mean, a few people just CANNOT write. I'm half-tempted to review these people and say to to their face, because no one else will (all their so-called fans are either too nice or too disillusioned as to what quality fanfiction IS these days) "YOU SUCK. GO HOME, PRACTICE AND COME BACK IN 10 YEARS WHEN YOU CAN WRITE WORTH MY TIME!" Really.

FFnet seriously needs, even if just for paid members, a yaoi filter. Only you can't call it that, because it's slash in non-anime fandoms. *shrugs* Maybe just a "romantic pairing filter" then? I don't want to be all Bush-whacky here, but I simply do NOT like MxM pairings in the Yu-Gi-Oh fandom. And GAWD, uke Seto??? ARE YOU PEOPLE INSANE!?!?

On a somewhat lighter note, I've started construction of my as-yet-unnamed Yu-Gi-Oh font. You know, the one on all the cards, the game boxes, etc.? The one with the cool triangular serifs? As far as I know Viz/Shonen Jump/Konami/Upper Deck refuses to release the name of the font or whatever, and no one *else* has attempted to make it... plus I've always wanted to make a font, so why not?

Aside from the pain-in-the-arseness that is scanning in all the letters I need (I have A-Z uppercase; I have several lowercase ones and a few numerical/symbol signs as well, but not many) and then assigning the paths to them in Fontographer. *hiss* Getting the right resolution is a pain-- I wonder if my scanned letters really have to be so huge (375x300 pixels)?

What I really need help with though, is a NAME for the font. Anyone have any ideas? I mean, other than something dumb like "The Yu-Gi-Oh Font." *rolls eyes* PLEEEEASE.

*sigh* About to search for some good fics... *crosses fingers* Let me find SOMETHING worth my next 20 minutes before I go to sleep. I don't want to go to bed depressed.

*cough* Damn, if I had the money and the know-how, I'd start up an elite archive.

Another weird dream-- I dreamed I had my own anime club somewhere (gee, isn't that familiar?) and that there was someone being really loud during this Sailor V AMV/movie (or something), and I kicked them out-- and they got really mad at me. o_O Reminded me slightly of someone I know, so that's why I'm all the more confused.

I gotta go to work now. FEH.

Think Pink for the Mod Duelist

I'm starting to get addicted to pink again. Shopping will be a blitz tomorrow if Rave has all these clothes that I want. And isn't there a Macy*s in Serramonte, too? Time to check out the XOXO and RAMPAGE sections and go spring crazy! The weather this past week or so has got me in such high spirits-- maybe that's why mny LUC is so high! Whee!

I ran into Sheila after I got let off from work early... we hung out at J-town for a while (I had a crepe!) and caught up on things-- she's almost out of Bryman, and is going to be a full-fledged dental assistant! ROXORZ! Free toothbrushes... ^_^;; She still keeps up with ROTC and everybody --and she's still popular, of course-- and she places heavy emphasis on all the drama ROTC brings. I swear, I could be the screenwriter for Real World: ROTC! Hah... yeah, I know it's lame. Shuddup.

I still haven't gotten my DVDs, and according to RightStuf.com, they haven't taken the money from my account yet, since it hasn't gotten here yet. -.- That explains why my once-$8.50 bank account suddenly rocketed up to $65. I did withdraw $22 (damn surcharge) and go to Quizno's ($5.54) today, so hopefully if it comes tomorrow, my paycheck will have gone through, and there'll be no worries about an overdraft for the $50 purchase.

Great things-- I'm off tomorrow, of course, and I plan to go to Serramonte (rodprime79!!! ARE YOU COMING WITH ME, OR WHAT!??!) to SHOOOOP~~ I work early Friday, but then I'm off Saturday-Tuesday! I gave Claudine my Sunday shift, is why, and I got the other days off without even asking for it (I only needed a few hours off on Monday for my hairstyling thing, but they gave me the entire day). YAY! And then in two weeks, CSUN Open house! Baba says Grandpa will come with me!

I got a nice, long review and commentary relating to WDKY and what is most likely the end of the Yu-Gi-Oh series! It's time for me to go to Janime and catch up on all the episodes! I hope the animated version isn't like the manga in that Seto has next to no part (aside from his Priest Seto self). And are they going to stick to the flashback versions they showed of Seto before, in that... er, odd getup that was much unlike his very-covered up High Priest self in the manga? (I have an anime picture of a topless P.Seto with a very long M.Rod, and... LOL. It's like RPG terminology! P.Seto! M.Rod! Y.Yugi! Hahaa...)

Things to do today/tomorrow:
* Work on WDKY9! FINISH IT DAGNABBIT!!
* Write my two columns for FFnet and send them already.
* Work on the Yu-Gi-Oh font, tentatively titled "Duelist."
* Perhaps come up with a simple, nice design for Souten, and get a temp page for that (and all my other "down" sites) up.
* DO MY LAUNDRY! Mer need clean clothes! (Mer needs to put her clothes away, too)
* Clean my room (a little).
* STUDY FOR THE EVIL ELM! Have someone test me or something... >_< Damn math... tool of the Dark Kingdom...
* Therapy Shopping. Lots of it.
* Kick Yugi's ass in a few more duels.

Heh, so I played more of Power of Chaos tonight and beat Yugi in another match duel! I lost the next match, but I *did* get 3 good cards. If the jerk hadn't played Card Destruction when he did, I would have wiped the floor with that spikey haired MOP of his! Playing the game --with his Voice Actor doing all the lines, too-- seriously lets you realize why Yugi pisses Kaiba off SO MUCH. Not just as a duelist, but in general. YUGI IS A PRICK WHEN HE DUELS! I love the boy to bits, but I swear, I'm going to OWN HIM next duel!

Anyway, stuff to do. Bank accounts to drain, that kind of thing. <3
