Curiouser and curiouser...

I had about three weird, nonsensical, unrelated dreams last night. One of them was freaky enough to be called a nightmare, but I can only remember snippets:

* A single-car train; a narrow, maroon car that was sort of... er, well, hot dog bun shaped? Maybe? And there were no seats or anything. It was running of its own volition, and I was in there with Katie Savchuck (an old friend from elementary and middle school), and someone else who I can't remember. I'd fallen asleep in there or something, and I was supposed to be on another (green) train that had already left and was way ahead of us.

* A word: Saqqara. I have no idea where it's from or what it means, it was just in my head.

* I was looking down into a chasm, and there were a bunch of emaciated, non-human type bodies, all wet and icky, writhing around one another like lobsters in a tank. I look up, and we have geysers of flame, devils wandering around everywhere... yep, it's Hell.

Dude, I adore HowStuffWorks.com. It just made the entirety of Chapter 9 of WDKY easier for me. I can't believe I'm almost on double digits! YAAY! And in BEA, I'm getting fanart and fanfic submissions (thank you Chikorita-Trainer1 and Mamono!) ... and we have hit 30 members! ^_^ It just gets better...

*warily eyes laundry* Geez. Always one downer amonst a pile of good shiz. I better get writing. 45 mins. till I leave for laundry detail.

I'm on a layout frenzy....

Having all this free time on my hands isn't good for me. I've gotten research done for WDKY9, but not worked on it... instead, I slept in, eventually woke up and mucked around on the 'Net, and then did my laundry. Once that was done, I headed home and proceeded to fuel my obsession with Ayashi no Ceres. I'm a huge fan of practically ANY of Watase-sensei's recent works, starting with Fushigi Yuugi, Ayashi no Ceres, and now Arisu 19th.

I don't know what I was thinking in going to C&C Central, but I blew the $10 I got from Walgreen's (they probably charged me for that whole Cash Back thing, now that I think about it) on Vol. 2 of Viz' new right-to-left Ceres: Celestial Legend manga. I'm going to ditch my left-to-right, oversized Volume 1 First Edition... if anyone wants it, it's up for grabs, $12 (with shipping).

So I scanned two images from my Ceres artbook to use for layouts; two images which are actually NOT all that common in the FEW AnC layouts I found drifting around the 'Net. The search for good layout sites got me pruning through my bookmarks; I'll try to organize it to the best of my abilities, and the XENU it so I can make an HTML page with all my bookmarks on it. The ultimate link lister!

Programs keep freezing on me, which pisses me off... namely outlook express. At least I can send and recieve all my email now, but yeesh, this is pissing me off. I was trying to view the link to the Fanime Housing page... finally I just went there directly, via Fanime.com

YIKES, $396 for all 4 nights, in a single room! I don't think Mom can hook me up this time around; it's a Mariott, which as far as I know is NOT a member of the Starwood Resorts. Sooooo... I can either save up an entire paycheck (or two) to get the room to myself (and probably have less than $100 for other spending needs) or I can split the cost with two or three other people.

It's for FOUR nights at the Convention Center, and if anyone wants in, let me know NOW. The sooner I can make a reservation, the better room we'll get.

(Gah, third time I've had to load this draft. I don't know what the keystroke is, but it switches my keyboard to English-Dvorak whenever I hit it.)

*yawn* I don't know why I feel tired right now, though... it's not like I've been doing anything particularly draining, and I certainly have been getting enough sleep... Thankfully I wore 6-X tomorrow (geh, USHER!!) so... yeah, that's not a problem.

Back to Ayashi no Ceres... I never wrote an AnC fic, since I never had enough source material to work with, but I am *definitely* going to make a site for it on AMC. I even have a name for it already. *grin grin* You wanna know what's freaky, though? How, when you're obsessed and stuck in one fandom as I am (with Yu-Gi-Oh) it affects how you look at other fandoms. I got another brilliant idea for a Yu-Gi-Oh fic, based very slightly off Ayashi no Ceres. I doubt I'll write any of it anytime soon, though. :P

I read a few AnC fics, but AnC is one of those fandoms where, if you're not Yuu Watase, it doesn't "seem right." AnC is just so dark, so dramatic, so chillingly REAL... it's hard to find writers that can do that. But, being the silly fangirl I am, I ache for Yuuhi/Aya fics (I like him SO much better than Touya... sorry. I got sick of Touya's character in Fushigi Yuugi. He just reminds me of Tamahome too much. Why must so many of Watase's "anti-heroes" look the same? The other guys in FY were varied enough!). I haven't read any AnC fics in a loooong time, though. Time for a change?

I have to work on Souten's new layout and organization, that's priority one. And then switch to fixing all of AMC's subdirectories, getting hiatus pages up for all the blank directories, etc. etc.

Gah, it sounds like so much work! And tablets are so expensive!

But at least I have clean pajamas!!!!
