Unique People Day
Dec. 10th, 2003 12:43 amGood god it's hard to type with nails. And I'd show you these nice new nails I got at a manicure (!!!) yesterday, but my webcam is being a @#$%!
I have work tomorrow at 1115-3, but I'm not TOO tired yet, since I want to read some reviews for Part 7B of WDKY. o_O It's posted, didja know? I still have to fix up the pages at Darkness Rising, and add the official WDKY page there too... need to get all my picture files organized. Plus there's MMorg. *sigh* Thursday is my day off, Hallelujiah! And next week, I have off on the 15th and the 16th (consecutive, amazing!!) when Rochelle's in town.
Today was a fantastic day at work, even if I was 15 minutes late *hangs head* I worked in Box with Tasheanna for a while, but then she got sent home... when Mark finally showed up, I took my 30 and ran all the way to CPK in the rain with my antlers on... (reindeer on the run! I got a lot of weird looks). Delicious pizza, even if I did have to wait too long. Too bad I remembered my IOU, or I would have scrimmaged to get dessert, too! Ate as fast as I could once I got back to work (5 minutes!) but I got a message from my Dad (this is shocking enough as it is, since he rarely calls me) to VOTE! Since I was working late, I forgot, and figured, "Eh," but then so many people were voting... and by law, they DID have to let me off. So I was gone another 30 minutes or so going ALLLLL the way BACK to City Hall and voting. A two-vote ballot, that was IT. -.-; My legs are killing me because of all that walking.
I get back, and they kick me out of box to help out at Ticket Drop, which is what I'm doing tomorrow... needless to say, it being my first TD shift, I'm NERVOUS! Standing in place for 3 hours... grrr... no break! But I hung out at TD for a while with Maria, then did a shift... switched back to Box for Mark's break, then went to Ushering... pain in the neck, since there were only 2 people, and several crowded theatres (okay, two, but when you're one person in a 300 seater theatre with garbage EVERYWHERE, it gets overwhelming. Please think of the little people when you see a movie... we barely get paid minimum wage, so clean up after yourself! It's not hard!!)
Yeeep... that was pretty cool, all things considered. I'm glad to be home. :) I feel accomplished. Which makes this music ironic. o_O
Talked to a random guy on the bus... several people who saw me in antlers made various jokes, puns, or comments... haha, I think when I went to find out where the nearest polling site was (that was why it took me so long to vote; I got kinda lost) I talked to a news anchor (I think. She looked familiar, and there were a BUNCH of news vans outside the Terrance Hallinan HQ) with my antlers on, and I bet she thought I was kidding her... haha, like "This kid is old enough to vote!?" *snicker*
