Nothing ever goes as planned
Aug. 6th, 2003 12:49 amUgh, I meant to take a NAP A NAP! Just a nap, a few hours! From 12pm to 3pm, just enough time for me to be awake and genki so I can go to the library! And I really need to, too, since I have to look up grants and financial aid, maybe do a job search or two, abuse the printers at the library, check out some anime and manga, more pathetically desperate romance novels, mythology books... @_@ BUT NO! I sleepily woke up at 3pm, slammed my alarm clock down, and went right back to sleep again until after 8:30! ;_; Mom even came home and yelled at me for not doing the dishes, but I'd had every intention of waking up, doing them, and then going to the library!
I guess it's a good thing that I'm tired NOW then, even though I've just been awake for a few hours. Maybe my body's trying to force itself back onto a normal schedule again. Which is good, I can't exactly go job-hunting or researching, or even shopping at ungodly hours of the night. Mom says Tutti Frutti might be hiring, so I should check them out too-- I love that store, though working there and not being able to walk home with everything would be agonizing! ;_; Mom's apparently in a lot of debt, and I'm just being a real cynic about it.
So apparently all single parents (who have their children living with them) will be recieving a $400 check in the mail from our illustrious (*cough*) president. So keep your eyes peeled for that, boys and girls, half of that money is yours!
Hana Yori Dango (the manga) is finally ending, according to Jen Wand's translations-- I'm so glad I picked now to join the HYDML! It's agonizing, thinking it's going to end so soon! But Tokyopop better catch up fast-- and do a good job at it, too. They might be catching up with Peach Girl, but it's not quality work. The least I can hope for PG is that they'll translate the Fan Book too.
So... Dad called me, turns out his job is at Alameda High School. Woodshop. *snicker* I seriosuly want to visit him when he starts working-- he'll have to grade papers, give finals, and deal with annoying high schoolers! Whee, I can't wait to get pictures! The Sweet Family Journal! I'll do a family newspaper! @_@ Dear god, that's a good idea.
Still no luck with my room cleaning-ness, maybe I should look up organization and Feng Shui online. ^^; I also need a compass, because I can't find my old one. =P
My elbows still hurt and everything... blah. At least I called Lonnie back, even though I left him a message only. His voicemail sounds kinda... depressed. But whatever, he always went around telling me he doesn't FEEL, he's not HUMAN, blah blah... he's my weirdest friend, I think, if you can even call him that. Steph's pretty curious about my "love life," but seriously, it might as well be a stick in the mud. Or quicksand.
Ugh... I'm going to do more compie clean up, maybe CD burning... and fic reading/writing. Then sleep.
