azurite: (anime)
Seeing Mike again wasn't as cool or interesting as I'd hoped. Eh, I guess sometimes first impressions last forever? The day I met Mike, Amber, Will, and Grace... wow, what a day. I can't remember the EXACT date, all I know is that it's coming up, and we should ALL do something. -.- *pokes* Well, that's my wish, anyway, heavens knows it's probably never going to happen. *sigh*

It was just sorta a "hey, you're back dude." He showed up at Jeremy's graduation party, when we were all at the nearby playground, just lounging around. I was having fun swinging, and some "teasing" led Cris into pushing me higher than the damned swing set! If *I* thought I was going to be nauseous, you should have seen Will, crammed inbetween worn bars of a tiny merry-go round! Little kids were running up and pushing it, and then EVERYONE seemed to get into the spirit and want to make one person or another sick to their stomach. ^^; Too bad I'd left my camera at Jeremy's house!

(By the way, I had no idea Jeremy was Jewish. -.-; Whee.)

Oh yeah, backtrack some. Earlier (I'd arrived a little around 1:30?) we'd been multitasking-- people were playing PS2 games, DWI, watching TV, and @_@... uhm, whatever the 4th hookup to Jer's TV is. The pad had some sort of lag though, so people playing on the left side of DDR (DWI) couldn't play. It was amusing to see people try anyway, from finger-mashing a one-person keyboard on both sides, to hand-slamming the pad. ^^; We watched a little bit of Joe's "Animatrix" (it's like "Reloaded," you HAVE to see it again and again and again... and I have to get it by Monday...) before they had to split (They being Jimbo, Vince, Chris K... and uhm, anyone else who's name I didn't catch?) to go to an uber-important Fanime meeting.

I was reading "Wicked" most of the time-- unfortunately, I managed to ding it up on the bus ride there, and the cover got stuck in the zipper. If that little wrinkle was it, then more was to come-- I bent the corners of both the front AND the back cover, and some pages got a little warped. ;_; Why does this always have to happen to me, all at once, when I'm taking care of SOMEONE ELSE'S BOOK!?! It never happens with anything else... I told Mom I'd just buy a new copy for her friend, but she doesn't seem to want me to. I know I seem to be pretty spendy lately... maybe I am... I still can't remember what I spent all that money (namely the $100 from my grandparents!) on...

*sniff* What's left? A white turtleneck, leather for my cape, Animatrix, uhm... probably other stuff I'm forgetting... photos, I know, that always costs $10/camera, and I have 2 left now... ;_;

OKAY! BIG ATTENTION TIME! *sounds trumpets* DA DAAA!!

< THE FANIME UPDATE >

Okay, so here's the status so far:
-Our room is going to have 8 people in it-- 2 double beds, 2 people to a bed. The other 4 people can either snag the floor, switch off with bed people, or... not sleep. @_@; It's been done before.

-WE MUST HAVE 8 (EXACTLY 8!) people or the rate goes up from $29/weekend. I don't mind if we cram MORE people in to the room (just remember, it's just a ROOM, not a suite, not a BUNCH of rooms) to lower the rate, but...

-The current rate is SET at $29/weekend.

-I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU HAVE NOT REGISTERED FOR FANIME! The current 3-day pass price (at-the-door) is $50. So be prepared to have that on hand, either in cash form or in check (check fanime.com for all the gritty details on that) Non-reg people in our party so far include: Mike and Aaron. REMEMBER!!

-The following people are registered, and should have gotten a RED CARD in the mail: Amber, Will, Chris K. (he might be purchasing the room space for a female friend of his...?), myself... uhm, out of the party going with us, I think that's it. Now, you don't NEED the red card if you have an ID-- but you need an ID so they can give you your COOL BAG OF GOODIES! So please, please, please don't forget your ID (preferably driver's license or CA State ID)

-Okay, and now for the stuff you'll need to bring (and remember, we're taking CalTrain, so try not to bring a ton of stuff, since a) it's pretty much a given that you'll be buying stuff there, or getting it one way or another, so don't cram your bags with useless stuff; you'll have to carry it back, ALL BY YOURSELF) and b) you still need to bring the basics for any sleepover-type thing. Toiletries, a sleeping bag (if you want... the sooner people get their $$ in, the sooner beds get reserved! I'll be nice and say Will, Amber, and myself already have a bed, since we all pre-registered like good little otaku!) and all that stuff. More Fanime-ish stuff, like maybe costumes, consoles/games, videos, stuff to sell (probably not going to happen, what with the dealer's room) and something to entertain you while you wait in those LOOOONG LOOOONG lines for COOL COOL EVENTS! Bring a camera! Definitely a camera! Or three...

-Uhm, what else? You have to pay me before Friday! People that live far away, have a tendency of getting lost/being late, or people who just want to have some sort of a pre-party thing at my house, you're welcome to stay over Thursday night. We're leaving from there to go to CalTrain (4th and King) on Friday morning, and taking the Train to Santa Clara is $5.25 (last time I checked) and about an hour and a half. Let me know if you plan on staying over though, and remember-- whatever stuff you bring to my house goes with you to Fanime and back again!

I believe that is it... Yay?

Ah... so I'm going to see my Dad today... it's a surprise, Kathleen's driving me. ~_~ I hope it all goes well. I wanna see Petaluma again. ^_^ Maybe Dad and I can have a picnic at the park near the bank, and maybe we can go to Dodge City and play videogames like Tron and The Machine for hours! I dunno, this is all kinda scary to me...

Happy Father's Day everyone-- and make sure to tell your dad that too!
