You are still green, young grasshopper
Aug. 3rd, 2004 05:40 pmI hate being female. 100%. Especially now. No wonder why I've been flipping out left and right, eating weird shiz, and sleeping funkalicious hours. Grr. I hate being female. Stupid, stupid red!
Got a haircut. It's now a bit shorter and layered-- lots of flippy layers going every which way. Mostly out. A bit of a modern "Bond girl" look, now that I think about it. The lady that did my hair at Supercuts, Patricia, had a Filipino accent and asked me a bit about school and living with my g'rents before letting me just sit and relax while she chopped away. She kept saying "Shappy," and I'm not sure if she was calling my hair "shabby" or what. o_O But it looks okay...
After that, met Baba and Grandpa at Ralph's. It's huge. They have everything there. Nothing like the Cala's in San Francisco. It's amazing. I snagged THE LAST DARK CRISIS pack in the entire store, and while it doesn't have Exodia Necross or anything, it DOES have two vital components for my Fairy/Isis deck. Seriously, I can do the Sexy Isis thing for Fanime next year! :O I'm only missing a few cards (because some of them haven't come out in the U.S., probably). I now have Mudora and Cestus of Dagla, both cards of which appeared in Isis's duel with Kaiba aboard the Battle Ship! :D Couple of other good cards, including Contract with Exodia (useless to me without the Exodia pieces, though), Nin-Ken Dog (the makings of an ass-whooping Wind Deck), Ray of Hope (potential usage for the BEWD Deck of Doom) and a Fiendish Beast deck with Pandemonium Watchbear and Muju Garzett in it.
Also at Ralph's, I caught the Disney Adventure magazine-- only because it had Yugi on the front. They make a bit of mistakes in it, too... being the stickler I am, I correct them. 1) Anubis does not have the Eighth Millennium Item. He claims to have it, but we find out pretty early on that it's a fake. 2) Joey does duel. He duels in the series. He duels in the movie. Big whoop, we kind of expected that. 3) Joey didn't throw Yugi's puzzle piece into a lake, he threw it into the school pool. Ehhh... all they get is a two page spread, and it's the same old tired graphics we've already seen. Bah humbug.
-_- I totally spaced and forgot to get double-stick foam adhesive and oil absorbing strips, though. I hate relying on the g'rents for money, but so far, Border's hasn't called me back... -_-... I NEED A JOB!
Finished the "What Doesn't Kill You" Tarot page. The image for Bakura's spread in Chapter 10 is downright gorgeous, if I do say so myself, and it took a lot of Photoshopping to get it that way. I scanned my own cards, the Hanson-Roberts tarot, so they don't look exactly like the cards described in the chapter, but... Anyway, I'm all funked out and everything. I don't know what to do...
I wish I could just park myself here and write, but... gah. I just feel so yicky.
