azuriteDamn FFX-2. Damn the Via Infinito at Bevelle. EVERY STINKIN' time I get to the 67th floor, I run into a Mega Tonberry. It's always one of those ones I could have avoided, if I didn't jump headfirst into the green bastard. But nope, I get into that fight, and even when Yuna has Auto-Protect on, and Catnip plus Trigger Happy Lv. 3, she still dies. The Mega Tonberry Chef's Knife Attack does over 14,000 damage to her-- and more than that to Paine and Rikku. -_- Pisses me off. I don't know how to beat them-- Yuna's Level 84, Rikku's 86 or so, and Paine is 88. Why can't they beat that stupid thing!??!?
In other news, today rocks. The mail this week has been fantastic. The day before yesterday, Kysra's package of wonderfulness. So incredible it should have been glowing and steaming. And speaking of Steam, Atlantis sent me her beta version of the Yu-Gi-Oh-verse's first (as far as I know) S/A lemon. Or lime. Or something. How about we just call it a Roman and be done with that. Yes, I'm so old school in the fic world, I *know* what a Roman is. How many of you can claim that? Gawd, I miss UsaMamo.com. That was the site, right?
The other great thing about today was that I got my CD from Mom today-- just like she said she would! YAYness! She even insured it, got delivery confirmation... I'm impressed. ^_^ It was burned correctly, and now Az has all her files again! I just need to get this damn FTP thing fixed, and then I will be back in action! ^_^ WHOO HOO!
One downside to today-- very minor, mind you:
* Baba and Grandpa didn't seem to get that I timed when I would wake up (9:10am) so I could take a shower and watch Yu-Gi-Oh at 10am. They were nagging me to eat breakfast and get outside to help them rake the lerp-infested leaves on the front lawn while the new Yu-Gi-Oh ep was on. And I was being my stubborn Arian self about it because I only watch one show a week, and Yu-Gi-Oh is it. I expected I'd be watching Style and HGTV down here every damn day, but I'm not. Hrm, maybe I should.
In other news, Marik is a pain in the ass to draw. I don't mean "innocent soul" (yeah right) Marik, I mean BADASS, color-changing Marik. I've said it once, and I'll say it again-- how the hell did he change the color of his shirt and get a cape? Does he have like, subspace portals like the Sailor Senshi, and they're able to pull shit out of thin air? Marik must be able to. And wherever he pulled his cape from, it's super-charged with static electricity... how else could his hair go up like that? *grin*
Also in an icon-frenzy. I need to find that profile-icon making site again-- it's loads of fun. Meanwhile, I'm still stuck with Photoshop 7 (try as I might, CS just does NOT want to be downloaded-- it's always corrupted. ONE STINKIN' FILE!). Mamono, I know you have CS, but hopefully you can still help me: how do you make those cool icon borders? I mean LJ icons, specifically-- and I'm sick of my boring borders that are just straight lines. Do you have a brush that does the "cut away" effect, and lets you have things like jagged edges, or rows of squares? I wanna have cool icons like that... *whine*
Random stuff: Went to a Chinese restaurant (!) here in Northridge today with Baba and Grandpa for lunch. Turned out I'd been there before, and I had Sweet And Sour Chicken, as usual. Pretty good-- nice and filling. My fortune cookie pretty much told me to haul ass on WDKY (I kid you not). So I'm working on 10 now-- with Dreamweaver MX! WHOO HOO! Earlier, these two weird dogs wandered onto our lawn-- and I thought they were cute, so I went to say hi. One of them was this scruffy blonde dog named "Duke" (this was ironic since I was reading WDKY10 at the time, and Duke was speaking), but the other, uncollared dog looked like that same breed that you see in pictures all the time-- the one with the mocha colored coat and a stubby tail? The one that the one photographer always has posing with human clothes on, or doing human-things? Yeah. He liked to chase Duke, but they seemed like good buddies. But no one was around, so we don't know WHOSE dogs they were. o_O
I also have to clean my room. I just got here, but there's already a pile of papers I need to sort, not to mention my desk... ^_^; I swear, I really should get a shirt that says "I Love Mayhem." I cause it, I write it-- I AM Mayhem. Or Mer-hem, as it were. *smirk*

Date: 2004-08-01 12:16 am (UTC)Icon border? I suppose you could use a brush. Either that or the line tool, or even the horizontal and vertical line selectors. The one I'm using now is a template I found on some site... *sheepish grin* Though I could duplicate it if I wanted to.... >.>;
Other wise just change the eraser brush - now that I've thought of that. You can use your downloaded brushes as erasers too.... :D
