I have to find a way to rent ID4. It's TEH BESTZORS Independence Day movie EVAR!!

-.- In other news, I'm hopelessly and horribly confused. What else is new? Okay, so I'm supposed to get a nice, sweet chunk of financial aid to pay for most, if not all, of my semester fees. I believe for Fall '04, they come to $1,439. Or maybe that's just what ISN'T paid by my financial aid (Stafford Loan, Pell Grant). I'm really confused here. I have my ScholarShare award from California (a measly $1,111-some-odd), but that might take *SIX WEEKS* to process! And here I just got my Holds Invoice, and payments are due by July 8th! That's 3 days and less than 20 hours!! ;_; I emailed the Financial Aid office, but I'm still freaked out.

Now, before my Stafford Loans (which are the majority of my FinAid) can be disbursed, I have to take this weird test.

...Oh great. I got kicked offline right as it was processing my Info. GRRR!!!

And how am I going to find out which books I need, hmm? I'd rather get them online, as most people have been suggesting is CHEAPER than the student bookstore. Or is that just for selling *back* the books at the end of the term? I only have 5 classes, but who knows how many BOOKS I'll need! ;_;

Okay, so I passed the test-thingy, and I had to print out this form. Do I mail it to CSUN or EDUCAID or someone, somewhere? There's no address, but there *is* a signature line. But it's online, so shouldn't it just process it automatically and send it to my school? ;_; MORE CONFUSION!!

Someone tell me how this makes any sense:
CSU Northridge
Charge Activity: 1,439.00 USD
Payment Activity: 0.00
Anticipated Aid Activity: -2,023.61
Admissions Deposit Activity: 0.00
Term Balance: -584.61 USD

Do I have to pay them or not?!

Gah. Okay, so I took and passed the Loan Counseling Session test before the 21st, but I still have to send them *another* transcript and SAT scores? The ones I sent them when I applied were the final versions, so...?? >_< Have I mentioned lately HOW CONFUSING THIS IS!?!? The transcript and SAT scores are due by August 15th (Orientation), but like I said, mine are technically already final and official. I mean hello, I graduated in 2003!

What WOULDN'T make my brain hurt now? Hmm, maybe working on WDKY? Or how about finishing up those damn awards for SMRFF!? Yeah... -.-; Might as well open Photoshop once I'm done with my emails.

Oh, and does anyone know which store it is you go to when you have an old, used ink cartridge that you wanna recycle-- and get free paper for it? I know I'm not imagining things-- I read it somewhere. It's either CompUSA, Office Depot, or Office Max, but I can't remember which it is, and nothing on their website says anything about that. HELP!

>_< Man, I thought edits for WDKY were bad. I'm officially naming [livejournal.com profile] guardian_kysra as "The Rose Chronicles" Historical Consultant. Yeah. I'm going to have to make a few changes to it so it fits historically (even though I ripped 80% of the dialogue from the game itself. And here I thought the people at Konami did their research!) and such.

Kysra has also got me saying a new word: pluck! PLUCKpluckPLUCKplUcK! :DDDD WHEE! PLUCK!

LOL (from funnytummy.com): For the road to Hell is paved with butter. And cream is cursed; and cake is awful; And Satan is hiding in every waffle.

What else? Mike and I went downtown yesterday... I had pizza at Blondie's (so sue me, I was hungry!) and then we went to the Metreon. The total charge for the DVDs was $6.48, but I found out that DVDstation doesn't take cash. Having only $3-some-odd in my bank account, that would mean I'd be overdrawn and be forced to pay a $30 overdraft before closing my account with Citibank. -.- So Mike and I headed to the Citibank by Japantown (we saw the Fillmore Festival going on, and decided to swing by) -- and I found out I had $1.11 in my account. o_O Wha? I put $5 in just in case, but I'm still confused as to where that $2 went.

First, went to Kinokuniya-- ARGH! The new Betsufure FRIEND tankubon has *another* Peach Girl "Reverse Side" story-- this time it's Momo and Kiley, presumably post-volume 18. I need to get it! And not just that, but Fushigi Yuugi Genbu Gaiden #2, Yu-Gi-Oh #s 37 and 38, plus PGSM #s 9 and 10! They were sold out of Peach Girl #18-- I just hope I can find the damned cover before I move. I need about $30...

I also applied to work at Sophie's. ^^;; It'd be cool if I got that job, even if I only could work there for a month. If I do, not only will I be surrounded by delish food all day long, but I'll be a step away from my bank *and* the bookstore and stationery stores I *LOVE* to hit up. Must go on a last-ditch shopping spree before school...

I showed Mike what Ramunes was (he said it was like a cleaner... but it tasted like a fruity 7-Up), and seemed insistent on the fact that he could get the marble out of the bottle without breaking it. o_O I'd like to know how!

Turns out the Kabuki was showing Spiderman 2 at 2:30, and Mike wanted to go-- even if it'd end up being his treat. But the guy works 80 hours a week, raking in thousands of bucks every pay period. He can afford it, and he didn't really put up much of a fight where costs were concerned. But he's right-- movie tickets are super expensive out here. Kabuki used to be the cheapest in the city ($6.50 normally, $4.50 matinée/senior/student, $3.50 child), but now they're up to $9.75, with $6.75 as matinée/student/senior. Metreon and my old work, Van Ness 1000, are both up to $10 during regular hours-- and the Metreon is stingy about what shows qualify as "matinée," so it's hard to actually SAVE.

So we saw Spidey 2... and some cool previews, as well. More movies to add to 2004's "Must See Movies" list. ^_^ Oh yesh, and my mandatory review of the flick... (SPOILERS!)

Was I the only person who thought the Chinese lady plucking her violin to the tune of the original Spiderman theme was... WEIRD? I'm sure the filmmakers thought it was funny. Stan Lee was credited in the movie as "The Man Dodging Debris." But there was a lot of that...

Anyway. Tobey Maguire still makes me laugh-- at least, his facial expressions do. He's such a nerd as Peter Parker! I keep remembering the sexy, studly Peter from the animated series-- and Tobey just isn't it! Kirsten Dunst... well, I really don't like her. I don't know why, but she's just too airy and see-through for Mary-Jane. I don't see MJ being as fickle as KD portrayed her in the movie.

The one thing about S2 is that you HAVE to see S1 beforehand for a lot of it to make sense. They do a few flashback type things in the opening sequence, but that's about it. It's not like the other trilogy-style movies (and yes, Spidey *will* be a trilogy-- or hell, a SAGA!) where you get a nifty little recap every movie. There's a lot of angst going on with the whole Peter/MJ/Harry thing-- not to mention Harry and his father's death, etc. etc.

Have I mentioned how FRIGGIN' COOL Willem Dafoe is? He made a cameo appearance in the end of the movie, when Harry discovers who his father (and Spidey) really are, and it ROCKED. So it's a given that for the 3rd movie, HOBGOBLIN will be the enemy... aka Harry Osborne himself! Bwahaha! Even better, they introduced John Jameson (Jonah's son, and astronaut-boy) in this movie... which means VENOM might be making an appearance in the potential Movie #4! Mike and I were discussing enemies-- and if Spidey spends most of Movie #3 fending off Hobgoblin, then John Jameson will return to earth from another Moon-Mission at the end of the movie... see Spidey cavorting with MJ, get INSANELY pissed off, and allow the evil-alien DNA strain that is Venom to take him over.

And from there, there are loads of possibilities. Carnage for #5, anybody? *grin* Venom is my all-time favorite Spidey villain, though. But I must admit, the guy playing Harry Osborne is *HAWT.*

A few things about this movie irked me though-- like how Spidey revealed himself to SO MANY friggin' people!! Harry and Doc Oc (not OCK!!! OC! There is no 'k' in Octavius!) I can understand, and MJ yes, just to further the plot... but all those friggin' people on the train!? And while they might not know his name, they DO know his face... that's a very dangerous thing.

I loved the cameo appearances by Joxor (I forgot the actor's name, but he's the guy who played Joxor in Xena) and Bruce Campbell (who was a prick in this movie... I liked him better in movie #1, as the wrestling match announcer). Of course, it's because they've been working with director Sam Raimi the most. I <3 the Raimi brothers. They rock. Plus, Octavius, Rosie, Jonah, and... er, the black guy with the white hair were all great actors as well. Jonah is hilarious because he's so... fickle. And stupid, sometimes.

Fantastic music, great previews (though they mushed some parts together)... and the whole Spidey uniform not being colorfast got me laughing. And when Spidey was in the escalator with that guy? LOL! That was like... Haha, UberRandom! :DDD

All in all, I'd give the movie a B+. I had fun, and I wanna see the saga continue. I still don't like Kirsten Dunst, but Tobey is growing on me. I want more angst in Movie #3!

After that was the Fillmore Fest, which was totally random since neither of us knew that it was even happening in the first place. Mostly food booths... stuff I couldn't afford or stomach. Mike did get an overly-priced chicken teriyaki kebob, which he let me have a bite of. Yummy! Lots of cool booths with masquerade masks (ooh! idea for TRC! bwahah!) and very cool clothing... We walked all the way to Jackson and back to Geary. My right knee had been acting up all day, and even worse, I was having problems breathing by the time we got to Geary. And me without my inhaler. Mike and I were both exhausted, so we just headed our separate ways and went home.

And here I am! I woke up around 3am this morning after a bad dream, and realized that my FinAid was due on the 8th... and all that jazz. Hopefully someone from CSUN will get back to me tomorrow. Yep, so that's the story.

I'm just simultaniously shocked and not surprised that most people think that Hobgoblin was the second Green Goblin when they're totally different characters. Harry Osborne was never the Hobgoblin, he became the second Green Goblin in the comics, as it should be in the next Spidey movie. Hobgoblin was a totally different character who just reused old Green Goblin equipment.

The black guy with white hair is actually Eddie Brock, who becomes Venom after getting the alien symbiote from Peter, but doubt they'll go into that story arc.

I'm suprised you didn't mention the cameo by Dr. Connors, who will become the Lizard (or is it Reptile??) or probably is already since they don't show much of him except during classes.
