Still awake, bored.
Jun. 17th, 2004 01:00 pmI don't think I'll go to Cris's again today. I mean, yeah, maybe if I don't have to show until 6 or something... I know we'd have to leave by 9pm, since Cris has another engagement and all, but... well, I fell asleep during the last few eps of Brisco County anyway, so I might as well just skip it. Maybe buy the DVD set myself. ^^; Someday... when I have money...
Anyway, I'm still awake, obviously. And posting too much for my own good. I'm seriously enthralled with "We'll Always Have Paris," which easily could have ended on an angsty-romance note, but has kept going for more fluff tinged with the possibility of inherent danger. I keep thinking ROMEO AND JULIET!!! But no, I don't think Hermione will be gutting herself with her wand any time soon. Especially for Draco. *sigh*
Love, Love, La la Love SHIIIIIINE!
1. The road represents your attitude towards falling in love.
You chose the long road--you take your time and do not fall in love easily.
2. The number of red roses represents how much you give in a relationship, while the number of white represents what you expect in return.
You give 50% and expect 50% in return.
3. This question represents your attitude towards handling relationship problems.
You like to get the person yourself--you are a more direct person and like to work out problems immediately.
4. The placement of the roses determines how much you like to see your boy/girlfriend.
You want to place the roses on the bed--you like to see him/her a lot.
5. This represents your attitude towards his/her personality.
You prefer the person to be asleep--you love the person as the way s/he is.
6. The road to home tells how long you stay in love with someone.
You chose the short road--you fall out of love easily.
Okay, so this last one might be 50% true. o_O Even I'm not sure.
*dies of laughter* I didn't think to do this until I saw
rhapsody_dragon post hers. *snicker* So here are mine, for Anzu:
Dude, we all knew Marik and Bakura were-- *gets muffled*
Aw, come on, Yugi's porn fetish is nothing new.
What are Kaiba and Yugi doing illegally behind my back now!?? *glares* Probably the modeling for the porn ring that Bakura runs! *starts buying calendars*
Does anyone else get weirded out by the word 'snogging?' I mean, it doesn't seem commonplace in British English, really. I know that there was that book and all, but really, I don't think it's the kind of word you'd use in place of regular English words (American and otherwise). Snogging just sounds like... well, what a pig would do. Even if that's not the case (I know what it means), it's slang, right?
Meanwhile, I'm going to start marketing Canned Plot Bunnies, and for those a bit more daring, Industrial Strength Canned Plot Bunnies (in easy Aerosol Form!) From HELL!
Back on the Harry Potter front, what do the abbreviations FP and QTTA stand for? I know all the book/movie acronyms, but what are these last two? I'd imagine that the Q stands for Quidditch, but what do I know?
My bad mood is increased by the presence of Anti-Téa people.
(1) If you're anti-a character, why waste your time making banners, websites, or flashy-changey icons that say so? Just wallow in your own stupid hatred and let the rest of the world be.
(2) If you're going to be anti-anyone, at least spell their name right. It's Téa, and yes, you can easily make the accented e, even in Photoshop and Painter. Figure it out, loser.
(3) If you're going to bash a character, have some decent rationale behind it-- don't go around claiming that Téa is a bitch based on ONE angry picture of her, or ONE episode that you bothered to watch where she was making a friendship speech. Do your research, and oh yeah, go to the local Target and GET A LIFE!
I really hate bashers. I mean given, there are some characters in every given series that I don't like, but that doesn't mean I'll go all out and write bash-fics, make them wickedly OOC in normal fics, etc. etc. It's just stupid, and immature and... it makes me want to strangle them.
Woah. This Hermione/Draco fic is 15+ chapters. *dr00ls* More...

Date: 2004-06-18 04:44 am (UTC)How sadistic can people be to write that??? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!
My brain is defiled by such a thought. :(
*grin*
Date: 2004-06-18 07:43 am (UTC)Hey, the author pulled it off so that it was extremely believable. You can't say I can't like the pairing because it isn't canon and I have no knowledge of the HP universe-- because a) I know it ain't canon, but it *COULD* be, and b) I have now read 1-4, and seen movies 1-3, so I'm just as versed as you. *grin* So, yeah. ^_^

Date: 2004-06-18 05:29 am (UTC)You would like a paring that could never work in cannon! I've read every book and most of them at least three times. There is no cannon evidence to show that paring.
not that I mind Draco/Herminoe. As long as Hermione doesn't get raped and then falls in love with Draco. It's a very common theme.
*snicker*
Date: 2004-06-18 07:48 am (UTC)(1) The standard fangirl excuse that "people change."
(2) The idea that the writer is seeing things from a one-sided POV (in HP, it's obviously Harry's side, not Hermione's or Draco's), and is therefore incapable of instilling life into everyone properly
(3) The idea of FOLLOWING the author's set ideas to a tee, and therefore trying to make the relationship work as much as possible, while still sticking to canon characterizations and facts.
It's the same way with Seto and Tea. But yeah, rapefic = bad.
But remember-- canon = the original material; cannon = something you use to blow up ships.
