Why can't things be easy to find?

azuriteAt Fanime, I talked to this guy who worked for Konami, and he said they were looking for interns for the summer. He was telling me all about E3 and the games that were coming up from Konami (Yu-Gi-Oh, obviously, since I was cosplaying Anzu). I want to find the jobs description or submission page on any one of the Konami websites, but I can't! Augh! I might just have to write an email or somesuch... o_O
Speaking of E3, there's a bunch of new Yu-Gi-Oh games on the lineup-- finally, an American release of Reshef of Destruction (GBA) which spawned the "sequel" to Yu-Gi-Oh!, Yu-Gi-Oh R! There's also Capsule Monster Coliseum (Mokuba fans, rejoice!) along with a weird dice+cards board game (but it's not D*D*D!), called Destiny Board or something. Currently, I'm downloading the tentatively-titled "Nightmare Troubadour" for the new Nintendo platform (DS?). >_o The bakas at Konami tried to embed it in their pages when the *.asf is 7 MB! Yeesh.

fanficrants community, I'm starting a thread regarding resources (pref. online) that we fic-writers use to avoid OUR STUFF turning into the badfics that we rant about. :) So join us.
Currently, I have returned from LA (obviously), and after I got home yesterday (Dad gave me a ride from Alameda High; the SATs were yesterday, so he was in the shop), Mom and I went to San Rafael for Carol's 50th B'day. Carol's an old friend of the family, and her daughters and I knew each other back in elementary school. Anna, the youngest (16 or 17, I think) is 5'10" now and is not only gorgeous, but a singer, guitar player, and violinist! O_O *jealous* Halley, who is 18 now and headed to UCSD, is a talented Spanish-speaker and is pretty (and damn tall, too). :P *envy, envy* The Boston Cream Cake was delicious. It's probably the only CAKE I can stand to eat. I'm more of a pie person, really.
Still having errors with BEA's join form-- turns out there were some messed up name values with 2s in them that I had to delete. But even after I got rid of them, I'm still having errors. Here's hoping someone on CodeGrrl.com will get back to me.
In other news, I want to get a list of "What makes a good LJ RPG." All you RPGers and mods out there, help me out!State everything, including the obvious!
Speaking of LJ RPGs, the DMRPG is pretty close to dead. We're waiting for Shizuka to post something... *sigh* I thought I'd figured out this plan to make up for all the lost time that's piled up-- you can use the backdate and NOT update the time automatically to control the time and date-- that way we could NOT miss Yugi's birthday, and also speed up the plan that Mamono, Yugi, and I worked on. If worse comes to worse, I'll do this for Zork-Anzu, and post what Shizuka is supposed to say/do. Then I can put a notice on the main DMRPG community and tell everyone to keep an eye out for such backdated-posts, as they won't appear on people's friends list (especially if people have lots of friends or communities that update often; the best way to check RPG journals is to sort them all into one group and check them via a Filter).
I'm going to get dressed and pick up my photos... I'll work on a new layout for Snapshot and post them (everything sorted by event!) once everything's said and done. Hopefully by the time I get back and get all of this done, someone on the CodeGrrl.com forums will have replied to me.
In fic news... I don't like how I started out WDKY10. Or 11, if you wanna be nitpicky. I'm probably going to trash it and try to start over again; I'd like to scheme with Atlantis and Harley (if she's not on another planet ^^;) to see how I should start this chapter and "set the mood." I also want to get the damned KiSS doll done, but I seriously need a tablet... and I need money to get a tablet, and I have very little at this point. So, in the meanwhile, I'll be working on fics like The Rose Chronicles (Svelte left me the bestest review ever, and so I'm going to get to work on that) and Family, and just so I'm not gagging on my own sappiness, You and Me or The Joke's On You. On the bright side, for WDKY, I've established a sort of sub-plot (hah!) that should string all the way through the sequel... it involves tarot and our favorite white-haired evil ... guy, and that's all I'm going to say on the matter. *smirkity-smirk-smirk*
...Yep. I feel like I'm forgetting something. What am I forgetting?
