Blech! Like Rikku says, BLECH!
May. 15th, 2004 12:21 amGaaaaah. Okay, so I got four hours of sleep before Joe called me and said he was out of class... by the time I got to SFSU (15 minutes late... stupid Muni), there was next to nothing happening. And apparently it was the same last year at the AnimEigo fest, and worse, this year they stole ideas from FX members! There were a couple of cosplayers (Naruto) and even a table selling assorted manga, tankubon phone books, and some Yu-Gi-Oh Price Guides (Japanese), so all in all-- not much. o_O The group (Marc, Mikey, Joe, Lolita/Aya-chan, Christal and myself) all went to Stonestown... since I'd had a waffle before I left I passed on the food. A few scant conversations and some Villanous ideas later (I'll have to bring that into the RPG again), we left... and went to Tower Records.
Not much there, in all honesty, though I have to admit the "Worse Case Scenario Guide: College" was pretty interesting, and they had this punk purple duck toy that was SOOOO cute (but such a rip off). After that we all just went our separate ways-- Joe to work, Marc, Mikey, and Christal back to SFSU, and me home, because my headache from last night... er, well, Thursday night, moved to the other side of my head.
I had every intention of waking up around 6 and showing up to the last meeting of AFX "fashionably late" like always, but I didn't see the point-- not when a) Fridays at FX are usually dead, b) I'm not into anything they've been showing lately, and c) Going to FX the past few times has made me miserable. And my headache was worse, so I just turned my alarm off and slept. And slept. And slept. I woke up a few hours ago (9:30pm-ish) and made myself some cereal (mm, bananas!) and started playing FFX-2.
Made it to the 20th cloister in Bevelle, and ALMOST mastered Rikku's Alchemist DS, but when I got to the 23rd or so cloister, there was this one area where you COULD NOT avoid fighting the Elder Drake. On some other floors, the ED is ramming himself into the walls, and if your timing is right, you can just run right past him. But on this floor, YOU CANNOT DO THAT. And I tried everything-- equipping Deathproof accessories, using DS and GG that have the Elemental Strike ability (the ED is weak to the 4 basic elements), and even using the Dark Knight Sphere for Paine, which she's mastered, so she has a shiza-load of HP and all the attacks.
But did it help? NOOOOOO! Two headbutts from the stupid ED, and my party is GONE. GRRR! I don't know how to beat it! Somebody help me!!! ;_;
On the bright side:
* Yu-Gi-Oh new ep tomorrow-- and we find out what this whole World Championship 2004 thing is. I WANNA GO!!!
* See a movie with Steph...? She's gotta call me, I think.
* Pick up the new Shounen Jump. -.-... At Japantown. No more C&C on Saturdays. BAD IDEA.
* Working on a few random fics-- "The Rose Chronicles," and maybe a few shorts like Mamono's challenge, and another oneshot "love game" fic. Should work on my Downshipping fic. Tempted to work on "The Speed of You."
* New fanart... came up with a few new fics as the result of staring at KnN's latest episode screenshots. And did fanart first. *grin* I wish I could draw like Kysra, though... *drool*
Hmm, better RPG something. Ooh, made a new "Change of Heart" icon for Anzu in the RPG. Took me forever, but I really like it!

Ara...
Date: 2004-05-15 06:31 pm (UTC)I should watch Oliver and Company today.
And I should focus all my rage at Kaiba (he was such a prick in today's episode) on a pillow or something. Yeah.
Fic writing! AHOY!
