By far, this has been the best birthday ever. Really, aside from my dad not calling, nothing has gone wrong! Okay, so maybe mom's a little cranky about the HRC bill being $140, and no one really helped pay for the tip... >_> But all in all, I had a FANTASTIC time. Even better, I don't work till 6 tomorrow (the celebration continues!) AAAAAND I have off on Saturday, so I'm going to join everyone going to see Kill Bill at the Met. Methinks I should buy my tickets NOW though, knowing how the show will sell out...

Anyway, Joe gave me Part 3 of my most excellent birthday present today-- Yu-Gi-Oh! Power of Chaos: Kaiba the Revenge! I didn't even know this game existed! I was staring at it in mute fangirl shock (it's a very rare thing to see on a fangirl; "silent shock." Take a picture if you manage to catch it in action) before bouncing off the walls. I GET TO DUEL KAIBA!!!! :DDDD And I get to hear his sekshii voice from the series... *melts like a Lava Golem*

So I installed it (it took forever), and got it to combine my previous save files from Yugi The Destiny (yes, the titles are WEIRD. But I'm not Konami Entertainment of Japan, so don't ask me what they were smoking when they titled these games)... but unfortunately, the updating option for YTD isn't available. Hopefully tech support will get back to me with a reason soon. :) Anyway, I played Kaiba, and I WHOMPED HIS ASS in about 10 minutes. I kid you not. The poor boy never even got the chance to attack me; the only time he did damage was when I had an 1800 ATK monster attack a 2000 DEF monster. All his creatures were in defense mode. I managed to build a Fiend-ish deck, and I got a fantastic hand in the first draw. :DDDD

Kaiba is much different from Yami Yugi when he duels-- instead of saying anything remotely complimentary, he just looks utterly shocked (the moment his LP go down to 0) and then REALLY REALLY pissed, and then he expounds on how he will GET HIS REVENGE!

^_^ Guess what?! This isn't the last game, either! Joey's going to have his own one, coming out June 1st. It's called "Joey the Passion," which is kinda cheesy, but hey, it's JOEY!!! :DDDD I wonder if they'll make a game for Mai, too... *dr00ls* That would be a dream come true. Or an expansion pack that allows you to CHOOSE which person you want to duel... so you can duel anybody and everybody. :DDDD

Hey, and now we have a new name for FFnet whenever it pisses us off:
The Pit of Voles! I don't know where this came from, but I see it a lot on [livejournal.com profile] fanficrants in reference to what I'm pretty sure is FFnet... and in a funny, gross way, it works. :DDD Remember the days when FFnet was so unreliable, you could never be sure if it was up? ^_^ It's much better now, obviously, but of course, every author has their rant...

I've got a few slight ideas for Anzu lately... but I'd rather see where everyone else goes, so I don't turn this into a ridiculous fic. Speaking of fics, I've signed myself up for the potentially dangerous (haha) Random Fic Pairing (or something like that) challenge at the Kyouku no Geemu Forums. There's over 400 YGO pairings (some savory, some not... so... savory...) and you can pick a category (Yaoi/Het/Full List/etc.) and then a number between a certain range... and then you gotta write the fic for the pairing or charas you choose. :O I did Het, #26. I wonder what pairing I got?

Oh, and I'm sticking to my guns and beginning work on some more fics-- maybe not "The Speed of You" just yet (requires more Initial D background materials), but definitely Prophecy Girl #3, and the tentatively-titled "A Kingdom For A Card." (or maybe "Duelist of the Roses" or "War of the Roses" or... someone help me! I need title ideas!!) Yeah.

Speaking of more cool stuff... (1) Gary didn't just give me a card for my birthday, he gave me a card with $50 in it! :DDDD That puts him on my nice list. I never really DISLIKED the guy (anyone that does my dishes is on my Happy List) but the whole concept of a parent dating is pretty weird for me. But hey, if he remembered my bday *and* gave me a bunch of money... well, that just rocks. (2) Lots of people wished me happy Bday at FX today. No one sang or anything (they're too "cool" for that. Haha) but it was still nice-- and I even got some compliments about my hair! Nice and dark chocolatey colored. Yum.

Working Kaiba

That is the Working Kaiba image... baka Quizilla. I saw the images for the other Kaibas as well. Hehe, Kaiba is so purebred he eats watermelon with a spoon. I'll have to use that.

Oh yeah, and at FX, I was shown a bizarre math formula that would be a cute geeky way to admit your feelings for someone (I might use it in a future WDKY or something).

128√480.

If you write it properly on a piece of paper and fold it in half, it reads "I Love You." Which I think is ridiculously dorky, but SOOO cute. And couldn't you just see Seto Kaiba getting caught for passing a note, but it ends up being mathematical, so only he and whoever he's passing it to (Anzu) knowing what the heck it means? ^_^ *grin*

Back to my email. :D

It does work! That's the most adorable thing I've seen in awhile! Now I'm thinking about my friends who are into 1337 writing that! Lmao! I keep looking at it and staring at it like a dork...this will amuse me for hours now...
