My elementary and middle school years were absolute torture because of bullying. And yeah, it wasn't just verbal, it was physical, too. I got my ass handed to me quite a bit, and I suppose if you think I'm a bitch, that's my "excuse." High school wasn't any better --everything's a drama or soap opera or popularity contest-- and whoever the hell said HS was supposed to be the best four years of your life must have gone to high school under a rock.

I hate bullies. I hate show offs, and I hate people that live in a glass bubble thinking that high school is some sort of social zone, or worse, "a place of education." We all know that's bull, and no one gets by without getting hurt. I've lost too many friends to idiocy, and I won't stand for any more.

Other than that, man did I have the mood swingage tonight. It's pathetic too, some of the stuff that was going through my head. Maybe it's because it's That Time of the Month (sympathy, ladies, I want your sympathy!) or maybe it's because it's so close to my birthday-- and everyone knows that birthdays, as a rule, are depressing, and the whole gift-giving and party thing was invented in the hopes of making you forget about how you have one less year to live, or one less year to do this or that... bleh bleh.

I still don't know what I'm going to do for my birthday --on the actual day or the Saturday, and I don't know if anyone gives a damn. But I'm going to feel horrible if all this soda mom bought goes to waste, so if anyone doesn't have plans for the 14th or the 17th, I want to order some pizza, drink a lot of Cola, and generally gloss over the angst-factoids that are making my 19th year on this planet a mite bit depressing.

Please?

I don't care about presents so much, I just want to hang around friends or acquaintances, or hell, moochers that want to raid my fridge. As long as you live nearby and know my name and that it's my birthday, it's good enough for me. I've been awful lonely lately, and I guess I'm in one of those ruts that I don't know how to get myself out of.

I hate strongly dislike [most] of the managers at my theater. Don't get me wrong, they try, but they [almost] all have these attitude problems that make me want to smack them. But, it's like "Where do you, a nineteen year old with no job experience, get off telling ME what to do?" I just call things as I see 'em, is all. I'm a bit infuriated at our Human Resources dude, but it's partially my fault for not signing out the days for Passover sooner. I'll probably spend most of my shift at Guest Services tomorrow asking people to cover for my Saturday and Sunday shifts-- which is hard, since they're a) closing shifts, and b) most people are already working. Monday I think maybe Siannan will take it, if Leslie doesn't. But Leslie only has two days off this week; I'd feel bad asking him to work all this week. >_<

Damnit, I feel really stupid now.

Joe gave me a crapload of Yu-Gi-Oh cards that he doesn't want anymore. All commons, normal rares, and a few super rares... and WOW. I mean... WOW. I've got such a kick-ass pack of cards... I can now make the following character decks:
* Isis
* Mai
* Shadi (maybe)/Odion
* Kaiba (dragon)
* Big 1/Deepsea Warrior
* Anzu (VR World) -- once I get a Dark Magician Girl and a Stone of the Wise
* Bakura (FIEND OVERLOAD! And all I need is the Destiny Board!!)

It's f*in fantastic. Joe plans to sell his Ultra Rares, so I might just buy them off him. :)

In looking for other archives that aren't massively massive, such as FFnet, I found this, which is just plain SAD:
nFiction.com. And at the bottom of every page, this hilarious disclaimer:
"nFiction.Com is fully owned by Ranlanka Food Exports (PVT) Ltd. 159, Sri Saddharma Mw, Colombo 10. Sri Lanka."

The page is a complete knock-off of FFnet, but has fewer categories and sort options. If anything, I'd like to see FFnet merge with MediaMiner-- at least filter wise. I would LOVE to see an archive that has filters for yaoi/slash.

As for other major archives, does anyone want to help me compile a list-- whether or not the archive is fully opened or completed yet?

This is also the excuse used for blatantly OOC fics... among other things. It's bad, and you should read/join in the discussion to avoid this at all costs.

I also want to get back into PHP so I can make official archives for BEA. Phuck it, I'm so sick of yaoi. I want to make a good-het-coupling or whatever fic archive. I don't know, I'm picky. But I want to do it.

So does anyone know where to find that kind of PHP? It's not as easy as View-Sourcing FFnet... where are all these fic archives coming from?? How the heck do they know where to start??
