Legend of the Rose Wars

azurite>_< Urk, I splurged again. I never thought I'd label myself a shopaholic, so maybe I'm more a "spendaholic?" Visiting Joe yesterday was a mistake, merely because I was surrounded by stuff I wanted to buy. Before I'd even got there, he'd already suckered me into buying $10 worth of Invasion of Chaos cards (the Special Edition sets-- and I got some fantastic cards!) ... but there was a used PS2 Duelist of the Roses and... well, now it's mine. *ashamed grin*
It's a weird system because of the Deck Leader and the movement concept; it took me a while to get the hang of the duels, but pretty soon I trounched Tea, and I'm on my way to whomping Tristan. I only played it for a short while, but already the story (which is SO weird for Yu-Gi-Oh) has got me suckered-- and yes, I have an idea for a fanfiction. It's a good one too, but I need a better title than "Legend of the Rose Wars" or something like that. They have a lot of nice terminology in the game, nice graphics (weird battles), and the manual has nice graphics that would make a GREAT webpage. I might just end up making a Video Games Story section at Darkness Rising, if to explain what's "canon" in that verse and what's not.
Gag, but now I'm in trouble... The game yesterday cost something like $20. I'd already bought a fast Pass at Safeway for $10, then gone to the bank to make a $20 withdrawl (the YGO cards, lunch @ In-N-Out, and dinner at Bread & Butter). That's $60! Almost *all* that I had in my account (damn, my tax refund went so fast...) ... and Mom's check still hasn't cleared.
Even if I transfer my last $10 into savings... >_< I'm screwed! The check is for $38.26, and my next paycheck doesn't come through till Wednesday evening! ;_; I've never written a rubber check before! GAAAAAAAAH, what if it bounces and destroys my credit for every millenia from here on until the end of eternity!??!? DAMN NUMBERS I HATE EM!!!!
In other news:
* Seto Kaiba is deliciously gullible.
* W-Cat deleted her story when my ubercool onee-chan stuck up for my belief that concrit is like Robitussin-- you might not like it, but it does ya good (unless you get drunk off it, in which case you're just plain WEIRD). It's sad she deleted the whole thing, but... well, teenage wank. -.- I know other teens her age who are a bazillion times more mature and take concrit with a grain of salt. So there.
* I have to go in 30 mins and meet Siannan at the theater. We're going to see The Prince and Me! :DDD Bad grammar + romance = TEH FUNZ0RS!
* First Chapter of "The Show Must Go On" is completed, but I'm waiting for WDKY9 to get back before I annoy my betas again. I might also start work on the Roses fic, but... well, again, betas = real people with lives. So I'll wait... :)

More mistakes I see in summaries...
* Lack of question marks when the author asks a question
* Forgetting apostrophes or proper spellings in titles or summaries for words like you're, your, its, it's, and so forth.
* Mainly AM, with YI, SS, MJ, BakuraAmane -- Bakura and Amane are brother and sister you SICK FREAKS!!! And AM = AnzuMalik, but who is YI (Yuugi/Isis?) SS (Seto... and Shaadi? Eew.) and MJ... M-M-- who is M? And Jounouchi. Gah, it makes me shudder.
Bleh, gotta get dressed now. I hope I can stay awake all night... I work till close again.
