Mahou Shoujo no Mero-chan!
Mar. 20th, 2004 03:03 pmHey there! After an extended disappearance (well, to me!) I'm back! And my room's somewhat cleaner and more organized, but I'll have to take pictures later. ^^;
I met Roro at the Metreon and we went to Domincan-- but only after a major bus fiasco; the Golden Gate Transit guy gave her the wrong time *and* the wrong stop; when we finally figured things out, we had to catch ANOTHER bus at Transbay Terminal, which was "late," according to one schedule (but not the one printed at the stop). We took GGT to San Rafael and transferred to the 33, and the bus driver told us he'd let us know when we had to get off for Dominican, but he DIDN'T! So we had to get off and walk back about a mile or so in the blazing sun... X_X Man was it hell. Luckily, it doesn't look as though I got sunburned, which is much to be yay! about.
Domincan was a lovely campus, and the girl that gave us the tour was quite nice! The dorms are pretty cool, and heck, I even got the title of an MP3 I've been wanting from the tour guide's roommate! ^_^ Everything was said and done (and we were sweaty, tired, and hungry) by 4:00. We waited for the 33 again and took it to San Rafael; the 70 bus we got on had a driver that was a snot and made us pay for the transfers again (shucks!). We got off downtown and took the M, and went to Taipei Restaurant on Ocean, where I had some Mango Chicken and Flaming Banana! ^_^ T'was yummy.
Then I went to Anime FX... >_> Fumoffu had some problems at first (and it was a hilarious episode too; Sagara *willingly* in a Bonta-kun suit) but then we switched to episode 14 and that was fantastic! Gave me an idea for a Yu-Gi-Oh fic too-- possibly a oneshot. I had a title in mind last night, but it totally slipped my mind. Maybe a chapter title, or something? But then it wouldn't be a oneshot. *frowns* Hmm. "The Game of Love" or somesuch. Maybe a 3-parter, if I can help it. ^^;
Oh yeah, for all you Moonies out there:
ADV Films, publishers of the SM Uncut boxsets, have announced that they will be going out of print as of April 1st, as they have lost the rights for US distribution and will not be renewing the license. For that reason, many publishers have removed the sets from their lists. Right Stuf International, www.rightstuf.com, still has a limited number of the first season for $49.99, but the R season has been sold out. Good luck finding it!
^_^ I'm glad I already got my copies! But I wonder if this means the dub episodes (which I believe were also ADV) are going kaputz. I wanted a few of those-- mostly the last half of Season 1, and a few from Season 2, Part 2. Roro and I watched some of the tapes last night over chocolate cookies and hot chocolate (chocochoco!) and came up with all sorts of weird questions-- like who's related to who in the Black Moon Family (and how?) -- and why does Pluto look so funky in the eye of the Luna-P ball-- like, say, HUMAN Luna?
I also managed to swing some Star Ocean 2 playtime in-- man, that was nostalgic. ;_; *sniff* I got all the way down to the Cave of Trials Level 8, and I was about to go beat the Boss when I got into a battle with a bunch of Dreamshades, and before I knew it, I was DEAD! ;_; All my hard work gone to waste... such a pity! I'll have to try again later. ;) I also have a Rena game I want to play-- provided it's not the stupid one where I accidentally sold the Minus Sword. :P Wouldn't it suck if I had to start Rena all over again? I mean come on, Dias is just too cool to pass up!
Ok, back to various parts of WDKY (*smirks at
atlantian_magic*) and the loads of email I've acquired these past few days. And then maybe back to cleaning TEH ROOM!
OMG, I leave on Thurs! O_O~~~~
