Abuse of the drive!
Nov. 29th, 2003 09:33 amOkay, so last night wasn't any big dinner at all. It was just latkes, but then again, latkes taste so good and are NOT as easy as everyone makes out to make. ^_^ Yummy-ness all around. People STILL kicked me off the computer left and right, constantly complaining that *I'd* been on it for over an hour, when the case really was that I got on for twenty or thirty minutes, nice and silent... then someone comes in and announces they HAVE to do something important. Most of the time, I was totally willing to oblige and get off for a while, so long as they didn't close my windows.
Read 2 great YGO fics last night... one is distinctly Yugi/Tea (well, as much Y/T as you can get given the circumstances of the fic), while the other is deliciously Seto/Tea. I look forward to finishing reading both of them. ^_^
Erin had me help her burn a CD late last night, so she had a spare CD-RW I could use to burn all these goodie music files and AMVs! ^_^ YAY! I'm just waiting for a few more AMVs to make up the rest of the 700 MB of the CD space.
As for presents last night... wow. Better than previous Chankukkahs, I gotta say. Fred and Suzy got me a PALM! A Zire, it's called, and it's ubercool looking! Also got cute Vickie's Secret undies from Brooke and Shaina, Foucalt's Pendulum (a book) from my Dad and the other guy-cousins/uncles, and Baba got me this faux mink channel throw. *snuggles up in it* It's so soooooft. :D I splurged yesterday at the mall, which might have been a no-no, but I picked up some cute clothes, a new manga, and a new book. Tres joy! :D
Waiting now for Jill and Co. to pick me up so we can go to brunch at Mimi's... they're not coming until 10:30, and Dad said, first thing when I woke up, that he was leaving at noon, with or without me. *sigh* Virginia even invited him, but where ANYTHING remotely involving my mom is concerned, Dad's about as bristly as a porcupine.
More AMVs! I still have 200 MB left!!!!
Didn't get a chance to work on/finish "Give and Take," but maybe that's because it's an AU-type fic, taking place back in Egyptian times, and recent fics have kept me in the more modern times.
Uhm... there was something else... *scratches head* Watched Yu-Gi-Oh today! Well, the first episode. I MIGHT be able to catch some of the 2nd episode, but I know Jill's supposed to pick me up later, so I doubt I'd be able to watch the whole thing, and then I'd be distracted and angsty... >_> I'll just wait. It's not like it was a huge cliffhanger, anyway. But gawd, I love the animators for this season, Seto-sama looks SO HOTT! *dr00ls*
-.- Have I mentioned lately how much I hate over-hyped idiotic cartoons? You know, like a certain SPONGE!?!?!?
I'm going back to my AMVs now.

Date: 2003-11-30 10:36 am (UTC)What were the titles of the YGO fics you read? I want to read them; it's getting too hard to find straight YGO pairings on ff.net *pout*
What are latkes?
Whee!
Date: 2003-11-30 11:14 pm (UTC)As for the fics, I read Atlantis2's fics, mostly... man, are THEY steamy! All her YGO fics are great, but that's just me, the huge Seto/Tea fan.
Latkes are commonly called "potato pancakes." They're ground-up potatoes mixed with onions and seasoning, and fried. Very yummy with sour cream or applesauce. Some people have it with other stuff, like ketchup, jelly, etc. etc.

Date: 2003-12-01 01:38 pm (UTC)Not trying to push you or anything... but how's 'What Doesn't Kill You' coming along? You're an awesome writer, I want to see what happens next! Sorry, I shouldn't be bugging you about it, I'm _incredibly_ lazy when it comes to finishing fics.

WDKY!?!
Date: 2003-12-01 11:06 pm (UTC)I won't let this fic die or get "moldy" as I have with so many others. I love it too much!
