Well, I'm back from downtown. Mom and I met up around 4:30 or so, at Ross... they didn't have any shoes my size that would work. The one cute pair I found that was cheap was tight around the toes, and I'm rather picky about that sort of thing, especially when I'm going to be on my feet for 4 hours at a time... On the bright side, some people from Vidal Sassoon saw me at Ross, and wanted me to come in and be a hair coloring model. ;} I have to pay for it, since it *is* Vidal Sassoon and it would be a dye-job, but really, why not? And I'd be helping a struggling student pass her class. And Vidal Sassoon has professionals helping their students on the spot, so it's not like I'd lose all my hair... o_O I think. So I suppose I'll arrange something for next Friday.

After that, Mom and I went to the Shoe Pavilion, but they weren't any more help. Worse, stupid bitches from my school (old school-- Wash) were there-- Caroline and one of her equally smug, short, bratty, AZN friends. *strangle poison maim kill* They were totally mugging me the entire time they saw me, and I just wanted to throw a shoe at them! AUGH! ;_; BITCHES!!! The workers at SP weren't very helpful, either, the guy was hardly enthusiastic. And to be frank, their shoes are ugly and expensive. :P Well, the ones of the style I need for work, anyway.

See, my feet are problematic. Depending on the brand, I vary between a size 5 to a size 6.5. My feet have a very curvy arch, but my toes are pretty much straight, except for the sides, where they curve dramatically towards my center. So finding shoes is usually a pain in the ass, especially where dress shoes are concerned. And for work, I need a pair of polishable shoes with no baubles or decorations, NO open parts, and they have to be comfortable, preferably with rubber soles so I don't slip. Did we find such a pair? No.

Mom and I were fairly grumpy after that, so we went to CPK. After eating, we decided to go and meet Mom's friend Carolina (which was Mom's friend to begin with) at her store up on Sutter, this French boutique. Carolina seemed to want to unload a lot of free stuff on us, so we got a bunch of soaps, candles, perfumes, and even French ironing water! I got a nice magazine box with a pretty design on it, so I'm happy. ;)

Mom stayed with Carolina, while I planned to go to Comp USA and DSW after that, but of course, Borders had to be on my way there, so I was parked up there until 9:00 reading manga. I read the newest Zodiac P.I., INVU, Wild Act and others... Comic One's Shaolin Soccer RULED, btw. I love all-color manga. ;} No new Hana Yori Dango though. *sulk* And they didn't have some other cool titles like I'd seen at Kinokuniya... Confidential Confessions and the like. No new Kindaichi Case files, either, but then again, there's already 3 volumes of that out. I looked at Ragnarok some too, which has NICE artwork, but the storyline makes me want to play Valkryie Profile again. :P I bet the Ragnarok artbook would be GORGEOUS!

Anyway, I have work from 6-1030. I might as well just go downtown early tomorrow, lacking anything better to do (except whine to the people at SFSU, maybe?) -- so I should go to Comp USA and check everything out. 'Everything,' being data transfer from an old primary master hard drive, along with installation of a 1 GB (so small!) old slave drive-- which I tried to do before, but the bay has nothing to hold an additional hard drive up. Last thing is repair of my DVD-ROM. I'd also like to check into printer, scanner, and/or tablet prices. ;} I'm such a needy tech-queen!

So I decided to head home after Borders, passing by this giant dome thingy set up in Union Square. There were a bunch of trucks out there too-- I wonder if they were assembling or disassembling some setup? There was a big HONG KONG sign there earlier... o_O Macy*s Passport is this Saturday and Sunday. It's only $10, so I guess I'll go to the In-Store event. Sounds cool. But there was this annoying guy at the bus stop that kept asking people for a dollar or so for Bart. Truly an honest request, but I didn't have a dime on me. And almost everyone else was uncomfortable by the guy's attitude, not to mention his scruffy appearance. He bitched at everyone who didn't give him money. Seriously, I wanted to yell at him, "If it's money for Bart, why don't you just hop the turnstiles?" It's not like the BART police ever check for the transfers anyway, and it's so easy to hop the turnstiles and be done with it! Yeesh. And asking the same people over and over again for money doesn't help. I got so pissed off that the jerkwad sank as low to make FUN of people that didn't give him money, calling these poor, terrified Asian tourists names, and being as immature to put bunny ears on an old Japanese businessman. Yeesh. What an asswipe. If I *had* any money, I would have given it to him just so he would shut up!

*sigh* Anyway, so here I am at home, still paranoid about the SFSU thing, and not really wanting to go to work tomorrow, already knowing my feet will hurt. :P But at least it's a weekday, so it's not like business will be thronging or anything. I get my schedule for next week tomorrow, and here's hoping I don't have anything on Monday. I seriously need to start finding out about when Anime FX is *in advance* so I can apply for an entire day off. :P

I'm going to look up stuff on Photoshop blends now... and then go to bed, because I'm actually somewhat TIRED.
