Okay, so yesterday I met up with Steph and Tobey over at 25th/Geary... Jackson cancelled on us, and Eva was over a half hour late (and I don't think we ever found out why, either ... >_>)! We went to Sakana Bune over near Kripa's house and had some sushi (I had one of those dinky rice-filled ones with a sweet wrap around it) before Tobey had to go meet her boyfriend before he jets off to Macau. Eva, Steph, and I decided to go to Japantown, for lack of any better ideas. And off to J-town we went-- though the ride wasn't exactly pleasant. This smelly homeless guy got on and sat in the back row, totally stinking up the back of the bus where we were sitting. I was tempted to walk up to him and spray him with my Gap PINK spray, but instead (out of courtesy?!) I just sprayed it in the air. Didn't help for very long.

When we finally got to J-town, Steph and Eva stuck around downstairs while I grabbed a crepe-- mmmmmmm, heaven! I miss having crepes every Saturday before Digital Horizon! :)~~~ Dragged Steph and Eva upstairs and scoured the manga-- nope, no MARGARET 18 (with the last Hana Yori Dango in it... *sniff*) but there was the October Ribon! I could have gotten it, but my heart was set on HYD #35. >_> It's not the last volume, to be sure, but it's got some pretty good moments in it! :D Whee! Now to find a translation! We took some Model '99 pics after that and then went to Steph's house via the 22 and the 1. We watched Big Brother 4 and the tail end of 60 Minutes II, and I caught a preview for CBS' 48 Hours | Mystery on at 10pm. Eva's dad picked us up around 9:50, and I was home by 10:05. ;D So I got to watch my CBSness. It was all just babble, really-- they didn't really find out who killed this family ten years ago... quite sad.

Then Kara and Malacky (probably spelled wrong) came-- I heard the bell before my mom did, and she was the one glued to the living room window! It was good to see Kara again, but to be honest, Malacky with his very thick, very authentic Irish Brogue is HARD AS HECK to understand. I got embarassed a lot-- he asked some questions and I had to decipher... not always 100%. Then when I went to Mom's room and tried to get them (Mom and Kara) to understand that I couldn't exactly "entertain" a guy I a) barely knew b) barely understood or c) was many years younger than, Mom YELLED AT ME! In front of her sister, no less! Yeah, I immaturely bounced on her bed, but it was a "flopping-lie-down," not a "I'm jumping in order to break your box springs." And she gave me this evil death glare and yelled at me! I swear to god, I don't think I know what it is to have a real family. It sure doesn't feel like I have one. I can't remember the last time I actually FELT like my mother's daughter. That's sad.

Yeah, so speaking of sad (and rememeber, this is my journal, I'm allowed to belittle myself as much as I please) I just harumpphed away from hanging out with THEM for the remainder of the evening... I feel bad for "ditching" Malacky, but Mom really upset me-- more than even I thought. I just ended up going into my room and crying my heart out. So maybe I did need that-- just a big, lonely sobfest. I try not to cry often, and I guess it turns me into what I say will happen to EVERYONE that bottles up their emotions-- an explosion waiting to happen. Feh.

When I finally got to sleep, I had a very weird dream-- there was a part 1 I can't entirely remember, but the Part 2 is decently fuzzy in my mind. Uhm... wait, let me think... (dang, I need to keep a notebook by my bed, too!) Oh yeah! There was some song... that isn't usually played by drum corps/marching bands-- but it was. I have a feeling it was something "American," you know, like an anthem or whatnot, but it's still pretty weird? Anyway, so I woke up (in my dream) and looked out my window, and instead of houses across the way, there was this sort of green isle-- a peninsula, almost, and it suddenly reminded me of Chrissy Fields. I thought, 'that's what it is!' but it's too close by-- I could see the Wash Drum Corps (from my Freshman year, I think) marching across, and some people even singing (cadence style) that song! o_O WHAT WAS IT!?!?

[EDIT:] Okay, something in the dream (not sure whether it was first or second part) had to do with Terminator. Not the movie, but the THING! Big, scary, metal dude with eyes, coming after me. I get the feeling I was in a group of three (as in, two other people were with me) and one of them ended up BEING a killer terminator out to kill us, or there was one AFTER the two of us. I seem to remember swimming and getting caught in some seaweed or kelp or something-- and then there was "We're not meant for water," but then "Oh yes we are!" And then it was coming after us! Was I swimming towards the isle where everyone was marching? Oh yeah, and the people-- some were in ROTC uniform, but some others were in these weird shirts that had a big cloth V sewn onto them-- and they were in the school colors, you know, red and gray...? o_O They reminded me of choir robes, but they were only thin t-shirts, and not very thick. o_O I have weird dreams, don'tcha think?

I have a vague idea that the first part of my dream was one of those "dream within a dreams," because prior to my waking up IN MY DREAM, I had this thought of "It's not fair, why do I always have to keep waking up to reality--" I think I dreamed of my sister being alive again. I don't know why this is a recurring theme or thought in my dreams, but it IS awfully depressing, you know? Maybe somewhere out there in the infinite universes that are created from our multiple choices, there's another me out there who still HAS a sister, and is still happy (and maybe still naive?). Who knows? *sigh*

Worked on the Project some more-- lots more work to be done before I'm even close to progressing in stages. But I'm getting some help... here's hoping I can get past the simple parts and get on with the challenge!

<lj-cut="party-goers and wannabe-goers, READ THIS!">
Okay, so the party's coming up-- this is anyone's last chance to tell me if they're coming or not, because I have to set up everything according to who I know is coming! And for those of you coming, remember:
* bring cash for food-- we'll probably order pizza
* bring chips/soda/cookies/whatever (1-3 bags/bottles would be great!)
* it's Joe's birthday. bring him stuff.
* bring video games, board games, whatever you want to entertain yourself with
* festivities start at 5pm Friday.
* bring cash for SVGL the next day, if you're going.
* Yes, you can stay over. But realize I have a limited supply of pillows.
</lj-cut>

I want too many things. In going to Japantown yesterday, I've added the following to my "get it eventually" list:
* Wild Act volumes 1 & 2 (2 is out 2 is out omg omg omg!!)
* Zodiac P.I. volumes 1 & 2 (WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!)
* "Phone books" - Ribon, most likely, for the Full Moon o Sagashite
* Full Moon o Sagashite (untr.) volumes 1-2, 4
* The SIMS unleashed, vacation, superstar (one or all!)
* Erica Sakurazawa "Angel Nest"
* Probably some other cool titles I've forgotten...

Come October, I KNOW I'll need
* HYD #2
* X-Day 1 & 2 (if the latter isn't OUT already!)
* Peach Girl #17 (yes yes, I'll post the translation of the last act of 16 as soon as I have time! ;_;)

@_@ Not sure whether all that stuff will cheer me up (for having it) or not (for having to BUY it)

Hmmm, being home this Friday means I might get to watch 20/20! Whoohoo! I just hope people don't ask me to move Mom's TV... I *could,* I just don't think she'd LIKE it! Anyway, better get back to the email and the PROJECT. Talk to you guys after work, I suppose...

Note to self: Must start going on Xanga.com more often and perusing people's journals.
2nd note to self: Start Cynic column here on LJ? <b>GET A CODE!! NEED A CODE!!</b>

Steph had a good idea yesterday in saying that people should post "Conversations of the Moment." She does it in her AIM profile, and I know NBoR had a thread for it (is that still up?) ... haha, I said this one thing... o_O I selectively choose not to remember it. Steph, if you read this and decide to tell me, SCREEN IT! ;_;
