30 Day Sailor Moon meme...Day 13

azuriteIt's lucky day 13 of the 30 Days of Sailor Moon meme, brought to you once again by Sailor Failures on Tumblr. Actually "Sailor Failures" is a pretty fun insult. The dub does some things well.
Why do I feel like so many of these topics lately are repetitive? I guess it's my fault for being pretty narrow with my favorites--I already talked about Naru as a Senshi I would most like to see, and Motoki as half of a non-canon pairing I wish existed (the other half being Usagi). Both of them are such fun characters, I wish they got more time in the limelight, even within fandom.
Can you imagine the events of an episode with either of them in it, but strictly from their point of view? How has Naru's opinion of Usagi changed over the years as she's seen her friend disappear randomly, make new friends, and perhaps even mature? How has Motoki thought of Mamoru or Usagi as they've gone from supposedly-bitter enemies to lovers? In the manga, Motoki actually finds out that the girls are the Sailor Senshi, but we see very little of him past that point--what happened? Was it just a moot revelation? "Oh yeah, you guys are Senshi. Cool"?
I suppose that, while Sailor Moon is a series that focuses primarily on Sailor Senshi and the villains they face, there ARE quite a few secondary characters. Naru and Motoki are just a few...and they're recurring. To me, "secondary" is a bit like saying "supporting," sort of like "supporting actor." So one-time "friends" that appear like Elsa Grey is to Haruka in Sailor Moon S don't count to me, but Naru, Motoki, and of couse, more recurring secondary characters like Luna and Artemis definitely do.
Can Luna-P be a secondary character too? She's so adorable! Or "it's" adorable. It is a robot. Or something...? (Hey, what if Luna-P evolved a mind of its own?! I mean clearly when Chibiusa became Black Lady, the thing started acting according to HER wishes and will, not Sailor Pluto, who had previously used it to communicate with Chibiusa...)
And why isn't there an Arte-P? Or something cute like that? A Diana-P? (D-P?) Haha. Well, there is an Arte-P in one of the Sailor Moon puzzle games. That balloon-popping Sailor Moon S one. Actually I kind of want to play now...
So, long story short, my favorite secondary characters are Naru and Motoki. I think previous posts (character I wish was a Soldier/Naru and Pairing I wished existed/Usagi x Motoki) tell a bit more about just why, so check them out and comment if you haven't already!
