Dude, I've been ripped off. I used to go to Sierra Hall on breaks for my iced tea- ah! that's Brisk Baby, for only $1.00 Now they've replaced the machine with one of those Big Buttons for Dummies, and the same size drink (20 oz.) is now 50 cents more! ARGH!!!!

;_; At least I have my Milanos...

On the way there and back, I saw this psycho squirrel bashing itself into a tree. Now, my first thought is "poor squirrel," followed by "it must have Rabies or something." When I exited with my Milanos and iced tea, I realized it wasn't bashing itself into the tree-- it was chasing the female. It was pretty fun to watch, actually. Our squirrels on campus are so cute!

So I'm leaning toward NOT taking any summer classes, just because the whole transferring thing is looking to be a huge pain in the neck. The only colleges with even some courses transferring over are LA City College and others-- like in Santa Monica, which means they're far away, and I'd need a ride. Originally, Scott was going to take classes there too, but it looks like he *has* to take classes at CSUN, and since he also wants a summer job, I doubt that means he's going to LACC anyway.

I figured that it'd be easier to get all my credits at CSUN anyway, and figure out everything later on, when I know exactly what courses I have left... so far, I have the following:

For my GenEd:
C1 - CLAS 315 (Greek and Roman Mythology)
C3 - RS 304 (Women and Religion) or WS 360 (Feminist Ethics)
D - WS 320 (Women and Urban Life/Urban Space)
F2 - FLIT 370 (Modern Japanese Culture)
F3 - JOUR 371 (Women and the Media)
F4 - JAPN 101/C (although I think I might already have non-transferable credit for this area... I want to take the class for my Japanese minor)

For Title V requirements:
CH S 245 (History of the Americas)
POLS 355 (American National, State, and Local Governments)

For my double-minor (Creative Writing and Japanese)
* I have to take at least 15 upper division units for my bachelor's in Journalism in a collateral/minor field. I've chosen two, both of which have more than 15 upper division (and at least 3 lower division) units, so I can get started now and hopefully finish both within the next two years.

* 24 units total for Creative Writing (18 upper division) including ENGL 208 (Creative Writing) lower division either this summer or next semester

* 20 units total for Japanese (9 upper division) including JAPN 201/C, 202/C, and FLIT 250 lower division (I can only take those after I finish 101/C and 102/C! Argh!) So this pretty much means I can start on my Japanese minor er... next summer or fall. I mean if I take 101/C this fall with Scott, 102/C at another campus (I don't think it's here) in the spring/summer, I can take 201 by the next fall. The other courses I'd take for my upper division Japanese would be JAPN 300 (Advanced Japanese Conversation), JAPN 304 (Advanced Grammar and Composition), and JAPN 306 (Advanced Reading and Composition), assuming there's no inter-meshing with 304 and 306, and assuming FLIT 370 doesn't *also* count for minor work (sometimes they let you do that).

There are still some GenEd areas I haven't figured out-- all the boring history classes and the like, plus I need to have at least one more science class with a lab, and then... o_O Just a lab, no lecture? Something weird like that, I'm not sure.

Ooh, and then there's all my stuff for my MAJOR. Here's where it gets complicated:

* Next semester I *have* to take JOUR 210 and 250. I can also take two lecture electives, but I want to wait until I pass 210, so I can take 478, instead of 371 or 372. I want to take 371 for my upper division GE... And they place a max of 9 units of LOWER-DIVISION that can be used for GE and the Journalism major, and I've already used up 3 of those for JOUR 100 and my Section E requirement. X_X

* I also have to take 300 (Reporting Government Agencies), 330 (Editing), 400 (Law of Mass Communication), and 498 (Tutorial), plus my concentration (magazine journalism) requires 310 (Article Writing), 331 (Graphics), 350 (Photojournalism), 397B (Newspaper Practicum), and 460 (Magazine Journalism). And then probably some electives on top of that, like 494 (Internship) or something. But augh! Photojournalism!?!? Nooo...

There are all these rules-- 80/65 for Journalism, to make sure you have a bulk of classes in liberal arts, sciences, and humanities, with 80 total classes being non-Journalism... that presumes 15 of them are upper-division for your collateral or minor field, but I have even MORE than that. Plus there's Title V, which is 6 units, and GenEd, which is 52 units, give or take. Each concentration (mine's Magazine) is 13 units.

This is crazy, but I'm excited! Can you ever believe I'd say something like "YAY SCHOOL!"?

Dude. I wonder if there's like, a KiSS doll for this. I'd love to make a change-color Jedi/Sith, one whose eye color, hair, lips, and light saber you could change. A guy one and a girl one, with different bodies for humans, and the few other species we see running around... :o Ooh, and I'd love a Queen Amidala KiSS doll. Maybe I should get working on that Téa KiSS doll again, mm?

Now I wanna go home and WRITE!!!
