Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaai~!
Jan. 24th, 2003 11:34 amI totally forgot that today a bunch of Japanese students were visiting the high school. I've been seeing them since just after 2nd period, when there was an assembly (I wish I coulda gone!) to introduce them. Apparently they did a little song and everything! They're so cuuuuuute! ^.^ I mean, they might be high schoolers (if so, they must be first or second year-- they look pretty young) and it'd be weird for anyone to be approached by someone as weird as me and have them go "ooooh, you're so cuuuute!" especially in your native language, when the person (i.e. me) doesn't look like a native of your country.
Ehehe... it's mostly girls, and their Japanese is, obviously, flawless. They sound like girls from right out of anime-- bubbly and excited... I would be too, if I were visiting a school on another continent! But I'm sure they're less than impressed with the cleanliness and near-lawlessness at my school-- never having been to Japan, I base what I say off what my Japanese teacher of last year told me, and what I've researched on the 'Net. Their schools are much cleaner, their teachers much stricter, the rules numbering more, and the time actually spent in the school much greater. They're still wearing their uniforms-- the girls are wearing blue two-piecers, like Miaka and Yui from Fushigi Yuugi. They have ties/bows and everything! There's only a few boys-- out of the 40 visiting students, I believe only 4 are boys! ^^; Their uniforms are pretty standard too, with black button-up jackets and pressed pants. @__@ I wish I had the guts to say hello to them or something, but they have their own Japanese-ish speaking tour guides from the Japanese classes... *sniff* I wish I were in Japanese this year, too... I couldn't even work up the nerve to say "Sumimasen" when I bumped into them on my way to the cafeteria... ;_; Oh well, at least one of them heard me saying "Wa~i" and "Sugo~i" to all the schoolgirls I saw. I smiled hugely at one too, and she just looked really astonished. ^^;;
Mm, yeah, that's it. I better work on some of these articles... or at least, those corrections to some essays for 5th. >_< Damnit, I got As, what do I correct!?
