BONFIRE!
Yes, you read right-- On January 2nd, I'm having my usual (?) big bonfire over at Ocean Beach-- usual spot, too, between Gates 13-15 off Fulton, near Safeway. You can take the 38, 31, or 5 to get there-- or, for those of you close enough, you can walk. Or drive. Whatever floats your boat.
Everyone is invited for this post-holidays, post-New Year's bash at the beach-- but yes, it will be cold, so come bundled up! Also, come bearing:
* firewood, or money for a box of the stuff at Safeway
* drinks (anything from hot cocoa or soda to Captain Morgan's or Bacardi 151; I do NOT care)
* food (chips, or other bagged/boxed food works best; basically anything that can stay mostly-sand free
* blankets, towels, if you desire
* lighter fluid
* photos, papers, stuffed animals, incriminating evidence, or anything else you might want to burn in ritual sacrifice (NO LIVING CREATURES, PLEASE, I DON'T HAVE A PERMIT FOR THAT)
And do let me know who's coming so I can give you a ring if anything changes! Please pass the word along to all those who aren't on my FL, or who don't read LJs that often; I'd love to see everyone again...! Yes, EVERYONE!
So, once again:
What: A bonfire
When: Sunday, January 2nd, 2005 @ 6pm-?
Where: Ocean Beach, between Gates 13-15 off Fulton
Who: Everyone you can think of, and then some! But everyone should try and bring SOMETHING for everyone else to share!
Why: Why not? It's before everyone goes back to college, it's a great way to celebrate, plus you get to keep warm, chill (haha) with friends, and burn stuff! ^_^
Happy Holidays, Everyone!
I've got a ways to go before I'm done with all my "presents," and that includes sorting through and posting up any gifts I got...
* I'm still waiting for Chibi to get back to me with a final version (I think) of the new SMRFF layout. It looks loverly... but then I believe I need to get in touch with
mklutz, to make sure I can upload everything correctly. I'm limiting my webwork while in SF to very little, because of my super-slow connection and lack of tools.
* I'm eventually going to color some of the fanart I got and post both versions up on my fan/ficart pages over at Darkness Rising-- thank you, everyone! *tears up*
* I'm also going to post a few of my holiday ficlets/drabbles meant as gifts... though I think I have to sift through the Wish Lists again to find out what I agreed to do. Yes, I'm going to be up all night. ^^;
* Look for WDKY14 tonight, too-- with 15 and 16 by New Year's, at the latest. I might even change my profile image tonight, with delish spoilers from WDKY15... However, all versions of anything going up are ROUGH. I'll be emailing them to my betas, but there's no guarantee they'll be available for the holidays, so aside from spelling, there might be later revisions in the future. I doubt anything major changing the story, though.
...And with that, I get to work.
Let me know if you're coming to the bonfire, if I (accidentally!) forgot a promised present, or if you're doing anything within the next few days you want me at or showing up for! Much love to everyone...
And no, I haven't heard from Jason yet. I shouldn't have expected anything. Yeesh.
