Happy Early Holidays!

Whee! I feel like I'm celebrating the holidays early already! So yesterday I went to Alameda (after picking up my transcript at SFUSD; too bad I didn't run into Amber at SOTA!) to go to this paint-your-own Pottery shop Joe told me about... o_O Unfortunately it was closed Monday. So we went to all these other places... this Craft store called Michael's (got 2 metallic pens, embroidery floss, a craft book for birthdays, rhinestone stars, glue guns sticks, and double stick tape), then Toys 'R' Us (Jinzo tin of Yu-Gi-Oh cards), Best Buy (50 CD-Rs, 5 audio cassettes, headphones, 2 DVDs), and then we went to dinner at Pasta Pomodoro. After, we went to Barnes and Noble, and I suckered for one more book, this SWELL Holiday book. ^_^

Plus I got a few presents-- Dez' present was one of my many-needed manga (to complete my collection!), Sailor Moon #8! o_O Gawd, Tokyopop in the early days... *shudder* Joe also gave me this ubercool book about creative inspiration. It's a pretty complicated read, since it doesn't go in order, but it's cool! We'd also gone to a comic book shop, and I got HYD #3! It's out already! *dr00ls* The infamous cuttlefish event!

Since we were in the area near AHS, where my dad works, I convinced Joe to let me visit. I didn't really know what to say to Dad, so I just surprised him by walking in and giving him a hug, and saying "hi" a lot. o_O

Hm, down to $83 in my account. >_< That sucks! But I still want to make Baba and Grandpa a present, so after work I'm going to head down to one of the pottery places here in the city. But since I bothered to check my budget, I'll be careful not to spend too much. I think I can limit myself to $35... Of course, Mom'll never give me money... she never does anymore... *cringe*

I just hope I get some nice pink (!) shirts for presents, or money, since I still want to go attack the mall! :D Northridge Mall ROX! You can never spend too much time in there (unless it's ubercrowded, I guess...).

I have to pack once I get home... since I have to bring everything with me for this weekend to WORK, and therefore on BART, I'm going to need cash for that. X_X Maybe Mom will spare me $4 for that? I hate getting cash for my card. But hey, if I can't pay for the pottery with my card, then I'll *have* to get cash. And until the next pay period, I won't have enough for all the cool Christmas-y projects I have in mind.

MUST REMEMBER TO GO TO THE CONTAINER STORE!

Okay, I should get changed for work now. And maybe make a sandwich.

Today... was kinda late to work (stupid Muni! Couldn't give me straight directions to this place on Union, and then when I was finally done shutting down this morning, the BUS took forever to come!) and then they wanted to dismiss me early! And, being my weird self, I decided to stay until 5pm (when they dismissed me for real) so I could get SOME money for my next paycheck.

Headed immediately to this place called "Color me mine," a paint-your-own pottery store on Union. Took the 47, and walked the rest of the way (from Van Ness to Buchanan). I finally decided on two salad plates; one I decorated with "The Sweet Things" (pun on the family name, you know) and surrounded it with a challah braid and other assorted "sweet" things, like cake, ice cream, fruits, etc. The second plate is a lot simpler, with a flower and some sponge-painted designs on the side. Total, for all the time, the plates, and such wasn't bad. Only $30 or so. Went to a liquor store afterwards and got fruit mix and pringles... I downed all the fruit mix on the bus ride home, and am going to save the pringles for the Haunted Mansion screening tonight (gotta leave in about 30 mins).

I came home since I finished my plates early, and didn't want to end up spending too much money again... thought I could pack, or at least work on getting the driving tapes ready. X_X Even though I have to be at work at 11:45am tomorrow, it looks I'll be staying up late getting stuff done-- packing, recording, etc. I still need Bart cash from Mom, too. She's being unusually generous (asking me if I want a coat for Christmas) so maybe if I finish the rest of the dishes, she'll be willing to spot me a $20.

I think something's wrong with me, though. Lately I've been very forgetful and spacey. Earlier, I was worried about my hearing... It's always hard for me to hear stuff, and then I always watch stuff with closed captions...

Joe got into a car accident. I'm uberworried, even though I know he's okay. I PRAY PRAY PRAY that somehow we can still go down to Disneyland this December. X_X I got all hyped up about it... *sniffles* I always told him to be careful...

Augh, Mom wants me to get offline. Be back later...
